Definitions
- the present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for deflecting Printing material sheets, in particular from and printed in a rotary printing press folded signatures, according to the preamble of claim 1.
- a conventional deflection device comprises in usually a wall or several walls on which a so-called abutment turn he follows.
- a disadvantage of conventional turning points is the lack of reliability in the creation of a new speed vector. There is also a risk of Damage to flat products or paper jams. Furthermore, at the deflection of one transported in a continuous shed arrangement Product flow by means of an abutment turn does not ensure that the side edges of the Products precisely aligned and the distance between the products remain exactly the same.
- a method and an To create device through the substrates in a printing press reliably are redirected, with the risk of damage to the signatures or the emergence paper jam is reduced and the quality (i.e., the distance and orientation of the flat products) of the expiring product stream is maintained or improved.
- the present invention relates to a method and a device for deflecting flat products, e.g. B. of signatures printed in a web-fed rotary printing press, where a flat product has a new velocity vector (i.e. a vector that is determined by the speed and direction of the flat product) immediately active can be transferred.
- a new velocity vector i.e. a vector that is determined by the speed and direction of the flat product
- certain Sections of a drive mechanism used to make the flat products a new one Assign speed vector and thus actively redirect it. Because the new one Velocity vector can be actively transmitted by the flat products Device according to the invention a high degree of reliability in the deflection of the flat products can be achieved without the signatures being damaged and without that a paper jam occurs.
- the stream of shingles is not only preserved by a way to preserve the lateral Alignment and spacing of the products in the incoming stream of flakes is provided, but can even be improved insofar as in exemplary Embodiments of the present invention the distance between the products of one incoming scale flow can be corrected.
- exemplary embodiments of the present invention relate to one Device and a method for deflecting flat products e.g. B. in one Printing machine in which at least one section is provided in which a flat Product is transported with a first speed vector, and at least one another section in which the flat product a new speed vector active is assigned, this further section having at least one drive device comprises at least one predetermined contact area in which the device Product contacted.
- Substrate sheet e.g. B. a product stream in a folder of a web-fed rotary printing press.
- the preferably as Scale stream incoming flat products 108 i.e. a stream of products where adjacent products overlap supported by a lower feed belt 106.
- the flat products are fed from the feed section 102 into at least one in FIG Deflection section 112 moves another section in which the product flow is active is loaded with a new speed vector.
- At least one drive device is provided, which has at least one contact area by contacting the flat products.
- the deflection section 112 comprises an angled one Transport section formed first section 114 and one as an outlet section formed second section 116.
- the first section 114 preferably includes a lower one Conveyor belt 118, which is the flat products arriving from the feed section 102 supports. Furthermore, the first section 114 of the deflection section 112 comprises at least one upper band 120, which has at least one contact area in which there is a flat Product contacted. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, the first section comprises 114 two upper bands 120, 122, both of which have at least one contact area, in whom you contact the flat products. The lower conveyor belt 118 and the upper ones Belts 120, 122 form a predetermined angle with the feed section 102, so that the product flow is diverted. The two top bands cause the transfer of the new speed vector on the flat products without slip increased torque acts on the flat products.
- Feed direction of the feed section 102 shown first section 114 of the Deflection section 112 can be arranged at any angle to the feed direction However, it is usually preferably 45 ° or less.
- the upper straps 120, 122 shown in FIG Feed section 102 can receive incoming product stream.
- the length of the tapes 120, 122 is selected such that the belts 120, 122 one from the feed section 102 Contact incoming flat product at specified points at the same time. Is only one provided only tape, its relative length of course does not matter.
- the upper belts 120, 122 can be driven in any manner.
- the top and lower bands can e.g. B. as a conventional, synchronous drive belts Printing machine be designed, which are driven synchronously with the printing press and have been modified to meet the specified ranges described below include. It can e.g. B. uni toothed belts act in sync with the Printing press driven gear of the printing press.
- the invention is not limited to such drive arrangements. Instead of one driven by one or more gearwheels synchronized with the printing press Timing belt can also be synchronized with the feedback loop Printing machine driven shaftless motor can be used.
- the predetermined contact areas of the upper bands both with each other and with the The feed section remains synchronized so that it is that of the feed section 102 contact incoming flat products at the desired time.
- Belts 120, 122 are also driven independently, provided they are synchronized with each other and with the feed section 102.
- the bands 120, 122 are preferred for precise and reliable deflection driven so that a flat product, the leading edge of which is from the lower band of the second section 116 is detected, at the same time from above, at the upper Belts 120 and 122 of the angled transport section located contact areas is released.
- the upper bands can be similar to that in FIG US 5,855,153 tapes described.
- the specified contact areas, in which the belts are the flat products arriving from the feed section 102 contact, are designed in Fig. 1 as clamping plates 124, which out of the tapes protrude towards the flat products and the only contact areas between the top bands and the flat products form.
- the clamping plates 124 can be more integral Be part of the upper bands or be designed as individual components that subsequently attached to the tapes (e.g. glued on).
- the tapes and clamping plates u. a. Urethane, Rubber or any other material, the coefficient of friction for deflection of flat products arriving from the feed section 102 is suitable.
- the material for the tapes and the clamping plates should depend on the particular application (e.g. from the operating speed, the type of substrate, etc.).
- the number of clamping plates arranged on the belts can preferably be at any time be adapted to the specific application, e.g. B. depending on the number of products to be redirected or the spatial conditions. Also the number of each to be deflected flat product provided clamping plates is preferred changeable.
- each of the upper bands comprises 120, 122 one clamping plate per flat product.
- the clamping plates can also be made from a Variety of smaller clamps can be composed or as a different type of Projections should be formed, provided that between them and the flat products there is a suitable coefficient of friction.
- This Leading edge 126 acts in a conventional manner by signing the signatures with a applied new speed vector. In the exemplary shown in Fig. 1 In this embodiment, this new direction is indicated by arrow 128. In this way the flat products will be from their original (indicated by arrow 104) Direction of movement by a predetermined angle, for example 90 ° in FIG. 1, redirected.
- the second section 116 includes one in addition to the leading edge 126 Drive device 130, for example one or more rollers and / or associated Tapes.
- the second section 116 of the deflecting section 112 is used, inter alia, for one exact alignment of the side edges of the flat products in the deflected To ensure shingled stream.
- the guide edge 126 can act as a fixed guide or as a device moving with the flat products, e.g. B. on Belt rolls with vertically extending axes fastened belt, be formed.
- the top Bands 120, 122 are described below with reference to the embodiment shown in FIG. 2 described in more detail.
- each Drive device as a belt (i.e. one of the upper belts 120 shown in Fig. 1, 122), which comprises one or more raised contact areas 124.
- This in 2A can be shown e.g. B. similar to that described in US 5,855,153 Be tapes.
- the device is as a roller 202 formed, which has at least one contact region 204, with which it the flat Products contacted. In the embodiment shown in Fig. 2B, two of these are raised contact areas 204 shown.
- the roller 202 can e.g. B. instead of the section of the upper belt 120 can be inserted, which leaves the feed section 102 flat product overlaps.
- a similar roller may be the section of the upper belt 122 which overlaps a flat product leaving the feed section 102.
- the Raised sections 204 act similarly to the clamping plates shown in FIG. 1 124, for deflecting the flat products leaving the feed section 102 be used.
- the predetermined sections 204 press against the flat products the lower belt 206, which is similar to the lower transport hand 118 shown in FIG. 1 works. After the roller carries the flat products coming in from the feed section 102 has applied the new speed vector, these can in any way, for. B by means of conventional drive belts 206, 208 over an arbitrarily long distance be transported.
- the drive belts 206, 208 are exemplary of any one Number of drive belts shown for transporting the flat products.
- FIG. 3 shows a further embodiment of the present invention. Elements that are already contained in a similar manner in FIG. 1, are denoted by similar reference symbols.
- a deflection device 300 shown in FIG. 3 is the second section 116 of the deflection section 112 so that the guide edge 126 (FIG. 1) is omitted, Instead, additional upper bands 320, 322 are provided.
- Each of these tapes includes, similar to the drive belts 120, 122, clamping plates 324 and transported in Cooperation with a lower conveyor belt 318 flat products 308 from the second Section 116 to the outlet section of the deflection device 300 shown exemplary embodiment, it is clear that the deflecting a can include any number of further subsections, so that the flat ones Products redirected at any angle to their original feed direction 104 can be.
- the clamping plates on the upper bands 120 contact and 122 the flat products only in different relative positions. Because of the synchronization of the upper bands 120 and 122 with each other and with the Printing machine, the lateral displacement shown in Fig. 3 is x consecutive flat products during the redirection, however.
- the invention here on the basis of a device for deflection and / or Distance correction between flat products has been described, it can of course also only to correct the distance between the flat products of a shingled stream can be used without the associated redirection.
- the outlet section of the in Fig. 3 shown device can e.g. B. a mirror image arrangement of the in Fig. 3rd
- the deflection section 112 shown can be provided, which returns the shingled stream into the original transport direction 104 deflected. In this way, the shingled stream is in its original transport direction 104, but the distance between the flat products corrected.
- the flat products can be folded or unfolded, for example Signatures of any size or any other substrate.
- the embodiment shown in Fig. 1 comprises a deflection section, the first and has a second section, the deflection angle of the second section Angular complement of that formed between the first section and the feed section Angle.
- Deflection angle can be selected.
- the redirection is also not on a single, flat level limited, but can also move at different levels in flat Products are used. As already mentioned, it can be the case with the flat products are folded or unfolded signatures. If e.g. B.
- the fold break can e.g. B. the front edge of the incoming signatures form the deflection, so that after the deflection, an open edge is the leading edge forms, or the fold fold can be a side edge of the incoming signatures in front of the Form the deflection so that the fold fold forms the front edge after the deflection.
