Claims (13)
- Controllable weft thread feeding and clamping device, especially for feeding a weft thread (11) to the gripper of a gripper loom, having a plurality of weft thread feeding levers (4a), wherein each weft thread feeding lever is movable in a reference plane, wherein the free end of each weft thread feeding lever possesses a thread clamp (1) having a first and a second clamp element (1a, 1b), of which at least one clamp element performs work functions for the purpose of clamping and releasing the weft thread (11) to be inserted into a shed, wherein furthermore the respective weft thread feeding lever (4a) with the thread clamp (1) is pivotable in the reference plane, in accordance with a control program stored in a program, memory and control unit (10), out of a rest position (7) into at least a first work position (8) and into a second work position (9), characterised in that the at least one clamp element of the thread clamp (1) is an actuator (2) arranged on the weft thread feeding lever and in communication with the respective weft thread feeding lever (4a), or is a clamp element in operative connection with an actuator arranged on the weft thread feeding lever.
- A clamping device according to claim 1, characterised in that the actuator (2) is a piezoelectric actuator.
- A clamping device according to claim 1, characterised in that the actuator (2) is an electromagnetically controlled actuator.
- A clamping device according to claim 1, characterised in that the actuator (2) is a pneumo-electrically controlled actuator.
- A clamping device according to claim 1, characterised in that the actuator (2) is a hydroelectrically controlled actuator.
- A clamping device according to claim 1, characterised in that the actuator (2) is an electric motor controlled actuator.
- A clamping device according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the power and signal transmission to the actuator (2) is effected in a wired manner.
- A clamping device according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the power and signal transmission to the actuator (2) is effected contactlessly.
- A clamping device according to claims 1 and 6, characterised in that the actuator (2) is operatively connected with the clamp element (1 b) by way of at least one motion-transmission element (3).
- A clamping device according to claims 1 and 6, characterised in that the clamp elements (1a, 1b) and the actuator (2) are part of a pivotally driven feeding lever (4a) of a controllable weft thread feeding and clamping device (4).
- A clamping device according to claim 1, characterised in that the opening travel of the second clamp element (1 b) is limited by at least one stop (6).
- A controllable device according to claim 1, characterised in that pivoting of the weft thread feeding lever (4a) in the reference plane is user-programmable.
- A controllable device according to claim 11, characterised in that the actuator (2) of the clamping device (1) is in signal transmission connection with the program, memory and control unit (10).
