Abstract
A rigid core container having a fabric pouch. A tool case is disclosed that includes a rigid, hard body having side walls and a floor defining an interior cavity, one or more soft sheets permanently coupled to at least one of the side walls, and a handle coupled to the hard body.
Description
Technical Field
The present application relates generally to a container. More particularly, the present application relates to a hard core container (hard-core container) having a fabric pouch.
Background
Building contractors, constructors, carpeting, manual (DIY) lovers, transportation operators and warehouse administrators often use tools and containers, tool storage boxes and kits for storing their tools. Most tool storage cases are bulky and heavy to carry. Some tool storage cases are entirely made of metal and are prone to rust if exposed to moisture. Most kits can be lacerated and difficult to clean.
Accordingly, there is a need for a lightweight, waterproof, easy to clean, and flexible container to better protect the user's tools and/or equipment.
Disclosure of Invention
Briefly, a system and method are disclosed that includes a tool box for storing items such as tools and equipment. The container or kit may have a hard polymer body or other hard and rigid material (such as aluminum, magnesium, steel, laminate, etc.) to make the container lightweight and waterproof. The container may also have a fabric pouch coupled to the container for storing additional items and a closable top for protecting the stored items.
In various embodiments, the container may include a rigid body having a sidewall and a floor defining an interior cavity. One or more soft sheets (panels) may be coupled with at least one of the sidewalls. The handle may also be coupled to the rigid body.
In various embodiments, the container may further comprise a closable top coupled with the rigid body. The closable top includes a closure for protecting the contents of the interior cavity of the rigid body.

Detailed Description
While the present disclosure is described with reference to several illustrative embodiments and example devices described herein, it should be clear that the present disclosure should not be limited to these embodiments. Accordingly, the description of the embodiments provided herein is illustrative of the present disclosure and should not be taken as limiting the scope of the disclosure as claimed. Furthermore, while the following description refers to a particular configuration of a container, such as a tool box, it should be understood that the present disclosure may be applicable to other types of container configurations, such as a compact cabinet (cabinet).
FIG. 1 illustrates an exemplary exploded view of a tool box according to some embodiments disclosed herein. In various embodiments, the container 100 includes a rigid bottom body or base 101, one or more flexible bags or sheets 102, 103, and 104, a closable top 106, a handle 107, wheels 108, clip bars 109, and a clip 110.
In various embodiments, the rigid body 101 is a rigid container that retains its shape relatively intact under the forces of its own weight and the weight of its contents. In a rigid body, any distortion caused by the weight, such as curved sidewalls, does not occur and when these forces are removed, the container returns to its original shape. The rigid body includes a sidewall extending from the floor. The side walls and floor define an interior cavity for storing items such as tools and/or equipment. The hard body 101 may be formed using a plastic injection molding process. Specifically, the molten polymeric material is pushed into a mold to form a rigid body 101 as shown in fig. 1. In other embodiments, different materials may be used to form the rigid body for the container or tool case, such as aluminum, magnesium, steel, laminate, and the like. In various embodiments, the container 100 is made of a watertight material, such as plastic or metal sheet. This facilitates easy cleaning with water (e.g., by flushing with a water pipe after work), and also allows a container 100 such as a tool box to be placed in a puddle or wet environment without wetting the contents of the container 100.
In various embodiments, one or more of the soft sheets (or bags) 102, 103, and/or 104 may be permanently and non-removably mounted to the rigid body 101The sidewall is removably coupled to the sidewall of the rigid body 101. The flexible sheets 102, 103, 104 may be formed of fabric and provide one or more pockets for storing items such as hand tools, power tools, and/or other devices such as flashlights and beam finders (stats-finders). In other embodiments, the flexible sheets 102-104 may be made of other flexible materials, such as a flexible plastic, mesh, leather, or other suitable materials. One or more flexible bags or sheets may be externally coupled to the wall of the rigid body 101. One or more soft sheets may also be coupled within the interior cavity defined by the walls of the hard body 101. The soft sheet may be permanently stitched to the wall of the hard body 101 using threads. The rivet 105 may also be used to non-removably rivet the soft sheet to the hard body 101. In other embodiments, the flexible sheet or bag may be removably mounted (e.g., detachably by a user) to the rigid body 101, or directly or indirectly coupled with the rigid body 101. For example, the fastening of the fastener may be achieved by a locking clamp, a screw or bolt mountable to the rigid body, a hook and loop fastener (e.g.)) And the like, from inside (inside the container 100) or from outside (outside the container 100) to the hard body. In various embodiments, the soft sheets 102-104 may be coupled to the top edges of the sidewalls of the hard body 101. The soft sheet may also be mounted at the top or any other point along the wall of the hard body 101, such as the middle. In some embodiments the inner and outer sheets may be disjoint and separate, while in other embodiments the inner and outer soft sheets may be integrated and span one or more sidewalls of the hard body 101.
In various embodiments, the closable top 106 may be permanently or removably coupled with the top edge of the sidewall of the rigid body 101. The closable top 106 is formed of fabric and provides a closure to protect the contents of the interior cavity of the rigid body 101. For example, the closure member may be a zipper,Hooks, tabs, snaps, studs, and/or hooks and eyes. The closable top 106 may be stitched to the rigid body 101 using a thread. The closable top 106 may also be riveted to the rigid body 101 using rivets 105. The closable top 106 may include one or more handles for transporting the container 100. In various embodiments, the closable top 106 is coupled along the entire top perimeter of the rigid body 101. As described above, in some embodiments the closable top 106 may be permanently and non-removably mounted to the rigid hard body 101, while in other embodiments the closable top 106 may be secured by various techniques (such as zippers,>snap buttons, resilient hooks) are removably mounted to the rigid body 101 or to the rigid body 101 by other similar techniques that may be used to mount a closable top to the rigid rim of the rigid body 101.
In various embodiments, handle 107 is coupled to one wall of hard body 101. Handle 107 may be collapsible to facilitate shipping and/or storage of container 100. Handle 107 may be externally coupled to one wall of hard body 101. Handle 107 may be formed of a rigid material. The rigid material may be a polymer and/or a metal.
In various embodiments, the wheels 108 are coupled with the hard body 101. Handle 107 may be externally coupled to rigid body 101 to facilitate shipping of container 100. The wheels 108 may be formed of a rigid material. The rigid material may be a polymer and/or a metal.
In various embodiments, clip strip 109 is coupled to one sidewall of hard body 101. The clip strip 109 may be formed of a rigid material and provides a means of suspending items such as tools and/or equipment. The rigid material may be a polymer and/or a metal. The clip strip 109 may be externally coupled to one wall of the rigid body 101. The clip strip 109 may be riveted to the rigid body 101 using rivets 105.
In various embodiments, clip 110 is coupled with clip strip 109. Clip 110 may slide along clip strip 109. The clip 110 provides a means of hanging items such as tools and/or equipment.
FIG. 2 illustrates another example tool kit according to some embodiments disclosed herein. In various embodiments, the container 200 may be a tool box and include a rigid body 201, one or more flexible sheets 202, 203, 204, and a handle 206.
In various embodiments, the rigid body 201 includes side walls extending from a floor. The side walls and floor define an interior cavity for storing items such as tools and/or equipment. The hard body 201 may be formed using a plastic injection molding process. Specifically, the molten polymeric material is pushed into a mold to form the rigid body 201 shown in fig. 2.
In various embodiments, one or more soft sheets (or bags) 202, 203, and/or 204 are coupled with the side walls of the hard body 201. The flexible sheet is formed from fabric and provides one or more pockets for storing items such as tools and/or equipment. One or more soft sheets may be permanently and non-removably coupled to the wall of the hard body 201 from the outside. In some embodiments, the flexible sheets 202-204 may also be removable by a user, for example using screws, hooks, locking clamping mechanisms, hook and loop attachments, and the like. One or more soft sheets may also be coupled within the interior cavity defined by the walls of the hard body 201. The soft sheet may be stitched to the hard body 201 using threads. The soft sheet may also be riveted to the hard body 201 using rivets 205. In various embodiments, the soft sheet is coupled to the top edge of the sidewall(s) of the hard body 201. The soft sheets 202 to 204 may also be mounted at the top or any other point, such as the middle, along the wall of the hard body 201. In some embodiments the inner and outer sheets may be disjoint and separate, while in other embodiments the inner and outer soft sheets may be integrated and span one or more sidewalls of the hard body 201.
In various embodiments, the handle 206 is coupled to two opposing sidewalls of the hard body 201. The handle 206 may be riveted to the hard body 201 using rivets 205. The handle 206 may be formed of a rigid material. The rigid material may be a polymer and/or a metal. In some embodiments, the handle 206 is fixedly mounted to the hard body 201 such that it does not pivot and stays in the same position above the hard body 201, as shown in fig. 2. In other embodiments, the handle 206 is pivotally mounted to the rigid body 201 such that it can pivot about its mounting point to the rigid body 201 to yield to a position and to make easier access to the interior cavity of the tool box or container 200.
In various embodiments, a clip strip (not shown in fig. 2) similar to clip strip 109 of fig. 1 may be coupled with hard body 201. As described above, the clip 110 may be mounted to a clip strip for hanging various tools and implements from the tool box 201.
It should be understood that the steps described in the process are not ordered and do not have to be performed or occur in the order described or depicted unless explicitly described or indicated. For example, step a in the process described before step B in the same process may actually be performed after step B. In other words, unless otherwise indicated, the set of steps in the process for achieving the end result may occur in any order.

Claims (20)
1. A container, comprising:
a rigid, hard body having sidewalls and a floor defining an interior cavity;
one or more soft sheets coupled with at least one of the sidewalls; and
a handle coupled with the hard body.
2. The container of claim 1, wherein the rigid hard body is formed using a plastic injection molding process.
3. The container of claim 1, wherein the one or more soft sheets are riveted to the rigid hard body.
4. The container of claim 1, wherein the one or more soft sheets are stitched to the rigid hard body.
5. The container of claim 1, further comprising a closable top coupled with the rigid body, wherein the closable top comprises a closure to protect items in the interior cavity of the rigid body.
6. The container of claim 5, wherein the closable top is riveted to the rigid hard body.
7. The container of claim 5, wherein the closable top is stitched to the rigid hard body.
8. The container of claim 5, wherein the handle is collapsible.
9. The container of claim 8, further comprising a wheel coupled to the rigid hard body.
10. The container of claim 5, further comprising a clip strip coupled to the rigid hard body.
11. The container of claim 10, wherein the clip strip is non-removably riveted to the rigid hard body.
12. The container of claim 11, further comprising a clip coupled to the clip strip.
13. A kit, comprising:
a rigid, hard body having sidewalls and a floor defining an interior cavity;
one or more flexible bags coupled to at least one of the side walls either internally or externally of the rigid side walls; and
a handle coupled with the hard body.
14. The kit of claim 13, wherein the rigid hard body is made of one of injection molded plastic and metal.
15. The kit of claim 13, wherein the one or more soft sheets are made of one of fabric, soft plastic, and leather.
16. The kit of claim 13, wherein the one or more soft sheets are coupled with the rigid hard body using rivets.
17. The kit of claim 1, wherein the one or more soft sheets are coupled with the rigid hard body using a suture.
18. The kit of claim 13, further comprising a clip strip permanently mounted to the kit.
19. The kit of claim 18, wherein the clip strip is usable with a clip for hanging tools.
20. The kit of claim 18, wherein the handle is pivotally mounted to the rigid hard body.
