Description

Trailer for cycles and motorcycles. The object of the present invention is a trailer for cycles and motorcycles, comprising a member for connection with the cycle or the motorcycle, characterized in that this member is constituted by a fork articulated on an axis at least approximately vertically. trailer.

The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.

Fig. 1 is a side view and FIG. 2 a plan view of the trailer. Figs. 3 and 4 show respectively an axial section and a side view of a detail, on a larger scale.

The trailer shown comprises on its front wall 1 an axis 2 being at least approximately vertical. A fork 3, serving as a connecting member between the trailer and the cycle or a motorcycle, is articulated on the ends of this axis 2. Each end 4 of the two branches of the fork 3 is provided with a notch 5, at the through which the axle 6 of the rear wheel 7 of the cycle or of the motorcycle can be placed. On the outer side of each end 4 of the two branches is mounted a latch 8, in a pivoting manner, on a nut to ears 9 which is screwed behind the notch 5 in said end. 4 (fig. 3 and 4). This ratchet 8 can be lowered on the axle 6 by means of a lever 10, with which it is fitted.

On each end of the axle 6 is screwed a fixing nut 11 which maintains the axle 6 in a rigid position in the fork of the rear wheel 7, and which has a circular groove 12 in which said end 4 of the fork 3 and the latch 8 engage. By tightening the wing nut 9 @, the latch 8 can be rigidly fixed in the down position, in which it retains the nut 11 in the notch 5 so that the fork 3 and the trailer can vote around it. axle 6.

To decouple the trailer, the pivoting legs 13 are lowered, as shown in fig. 1, to prevent it from being knocked over. Then, we loosen the wing nuts 9 on the two outer sides of the fork 3, we raise the latches 8 and we can remove the axle 6 by removing the cycle or the motorcycle.

Fork 3 of the. trailer can be supported on two coil springs mounted on the axle?, at both ends of the axle, above and below the fork sleeves 3, in order to leave vertical play between this fork 3 and the. re morque and to cushion the jolts from accidents in the terrain.

The trailer with this pivoting fork may be of a different construction from that shown in fig. 1 and?, Without changing the idea of the invention.
