Abstract
"PROCESSO PARA A GERAçãO DE UM GáS COMBUSTìVEL, E, GERADOR DE GáS". é divulgado um processo e um gerador de gás para gerar, por destilação a seca de sólidos e gaseificação de sólidos, um gás combustível substancialmente isento de produtos voláteis da destilação a seca condensáveis que possam interferir no uso final do gás, por exemplo, para acionar um motor de combustão interna. Para se conseguir isto, leitos sólidos em zonas de destilação a seca e de gaseificação distintas são mantidos sob condições favoráveis ao craqueamento térmico de produtos voláteis condensáveis (alcatrão) nas regiões quentes de ambas as zonas. Para controle ideal dessas condições, essas zonas são separadas fisicamente por internos em um único vaso do reator e, opcionalmente, realizando-se parte da destilação a seca (pirólise) em um vaso do reator separado, caso este em que os produtos voláteis da pirólise são alimentados em contra-corrente no leito de destilação a seca, retirados pelo topo do mesmo e alimentados no leito de brasas quentes da zona de gaseificação e através da mesma. O craqueamento térmico de produtos voláteis de pirólise é prolongado e intensificado pela maneira na qual esses produtos voláteis são conduzidos em contato próximo através do leito de brasas quentes da zona de gaseificação em co-corrente com ele. O leito de brasas quentes é guiado ao longo de um caminho progressivamente constritivo, o qual controla a taxa de tráfego e o tempo de permanência do leito de sólidos no processo e no gerador."PROCESS FOR GENERATING FUEL GAS AND GAS GENERATOR". Disclosed is a method and a gas generator for generating, by solid dry distillation and solid gasification, a combustible gas substantially free of volatile condensable dry distillation products that may interfere with the end use of the gas, for example to trigger an internal combustion engine. To achieve this, solid beds in distinct dry distillation and gasification zones are maintained under conditions favorable to thermal cracking of volatile condensable products (tar) in the hot regions of both zones. For optimal control of these conditions, these zones are physically separated by internals in a single reactor vessel and optionally by performing part of the dry distillation (pyrolysis) in a separate reactor vessel, in which case volatile pyrolysis products they are fed backstream into the dry distillation bed, withdrawn from the top of it and fed into and through the bed of hot embers of the gasification zone. Thermal cracking of volatile pyrolysis products is prolonged and intensified by the manner in which these volatile products are conducted in close contact through the hot embers bed of the co-current gasification zone therewith. The bed of hot embers is guided along a progressively constrictive path, which controls the traffic rate and dwell time of the solids bed in the process and generator.
