How busy are the car parks by their dispatch center? are the cars staying longer because people are working overtime? how many UPS trucks are visiting?

> Wait so someone at Meta entered somewhere that this person is gay? Or was this based on, say, cookies and general browsing habits?

General browsing habits - he interacted with ‘gay content’ - websites, facebook groups etc. so could be targeted by advertisers that wanted their ads shown to people who interacted with that content.

I don’t think FB have a gay checkbox for targeting now but advertisers can choose websites and FB groups. Im not sure if this ruling effectively kills FB targeted advertising using data from outside FB or just if you're gay or not

Mauritius will get 'financial support' for 'leasing' the military base and resettlement can happen on the other islands

I just got a very hard block from this link from the `Ministero dell'Interno`...

I read this as "Ministero dell'Inferno" (Ministry of Hell) and was sad to see that it was actually much more mundane.

Yikes, mind sharing which country you're in that has those kinds of hard blocks?

Yes Italy, I'm not sure why but for others it seems to be working.

I'm sure it's down to the DNS / ISP.

Scary stuff... Condolences :/ Try TOR?

No need, just a notice to others that would maybe prefer not to support such 'hosting' services. It was not trademark/copyright related I can say.

Or you could question the reasoning of your Ministry of Interior. Those archiving sites are vital for the internet to have some kind of "memory".

Thats not what it's bocking it for apperantly. Obviously I wouldn't have a problem with simply archiving.

The Danish authorities abuse their filters in a similar way. It's just about the children ..!

What if that's just some illegal content that was reported? Even archived on purpose in the first place. Would that result in banning the whole domain?

> So now it’s become a bit more CAMPUB, and campaigns to save the business of public houses itself, the traditional bar games (skittles or bar billiards, anyone?), and the communities that sit in them.

Isn't it the case that the "pub scene" is healthy - revenues and number of pub employees hasn't decayed significantly, but the number of pubs has. A big part of that is people preferring the larger pubs - going to Wetherspoons for a cheaper pint from a wide range of beers (perhaps with food and sports) than a cosy local that is more expensive and has a limited range.

Unfortunately I can't see CAMRA being able to do much about the economics of a small traditional pub vs the current rental or sale value of the building its in.
