Enabling Android Auto developer mode

Felix Franz edited this page Sep 23, 2019 · 5 revisions

To use some Crankshaft features, such as connecting your phone to Crankshaft via WiFi, you'll need to enable the hidden developer mode within the Android Auto app running on your phone. Here's how:

  1. In the Android Auto app on your phone, tap the hamburger menu.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Scoll down to the bottom of the page and touch the version number for 10 times, until a "Allow development settings?" window appears.
  4. Click OK.

Now you can access Developer settings by selecting the overflow menu dots on the top right of the screen.
