Interesting, here the shortcuts work without this. I tried this anyway, but the menu entries do not work. If I select Cut for example, nothing happens. Shortcuts keep working as usual though. Out of curiosity, are using OSX? |

Yes, selector and role work equally well on OS X. Sorry for the delay. Pushed a new commit using role instead :) |

Apparently, if you don't have a menu item, you can't paste using ctrl-v or cmd-v. This pull request adds the menu necessary.
