I am a small business owner, attorney, and Mayor Pro-Tem in the City of Centralia. Most importantly, I am a husband to a middle school teacher and father to two amazing elementary school aged children. In 2015, I was successfully elected to the Centralia City Council and re-elected to the Centralia City Council in 2019.

I am current president of the Centralia College Foundation, member of the Lewis Economic Development Council board, host of the AM1470 KELA "Let's Talk About It" show, and I volunteer with a number of organizations including WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) and the Hub City Mission Cold Weather Shelter, and mentor at several local schools.

In 2018, I was voted the "Best Volunteer" in Lewis County by the Daily Chronicle newspaper readers. In 2019, I was named the 'best elected official' in Lewis County by the Daily Chronicle newspaper readers, received the "Economic Development Leadership Award" from the Lewis County Economic Development Council, and received the Human Rights Award from the Church Women United organization. In February 2020, I was honored to be named "Person of the Year" by the Daily Chronicle newspaper's editor board staff.

  • I support building stronger families and stronger local communities.
  • I believe in holding government more accountable to working families and small businesses.
  • I will fight for safer streets and politices that protect our neighborhoods, our small businesses, and our first responders who are working to protect us.

I am personally passionate about several areas of public policy; including poverty, homelessness, and education. I actively volunteer with the Hub City Mission, as well as in the classroom at local schools. I believe that our community is stronger when we work together and coordinate our efforts to help the most vulnerable citizens and provide opportunities for success.

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in Washington

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
