Recognizing that budgets reflect values, and working to write legislative policy that starts with the values of equity and justice.
Aldo Leopoldo, the great conservation writer of the mid-20th Century. Eric Lui, Become America.
Honesty, integrity, and intelligence.
Committed research of issues and legislative impacts, to allow for principled, wise debate.

Annie Dillard, Pilgrim at Tinker Creek: one of America's finest writers, born in Pittsburgh, who writes in this book with ecstatic intelligence about the mysteries and wonders of nature, theology, and human curiosity.
