2014
Elections for the Massachusetts House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election was held on September 9, 2014, and a general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 3, 2014. Incumbent Carole Fiola was unopposed in the Democratic primary. David Steinhof was unopposed in the Republican primary. Fiola defeated Steinhof in the general election.[5]
2013
Fiola won election in a special election for Massachusetts House of Representatives 6th Bristol District. The seat was vacant following David Sullivan's (D) resignation to become the executive director of the Fall River Housing Authority. Fiola defeated David J. Dennis, Bradford L. Kilby and Gerald Potvin in the August 13 Democratic primary and defeated David L. Steinhof (R) in the special election, which took place on September 10.[6][7][8][9][10]
