Aaron Ortiz (Democratic Party) is a member of the Illinois House of Representatives, representing District 1. He assumed office on January 9, 2019. His current term ends on January 8, 2025.
Ortiz (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Illinois House of Representatives to represent District 1. He won in the general election on November 5, 2024.
Biography
Aaron Ortiz was born and lives in Gage Park, Illinois. He graduated from Brother Rice High School. He earned a bachelor's degree in urban planning from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Ortiz's career experience includes working as a college counselor at Back of the Yards High School. He volunteered with Jesus "Chuy" Garcia's 2015 mayoral campaign in Chicago. Ortiz is a member of the Chicago Teachers Union.[1][2]
