In the halls of a high school girls' dormitory there are no rules and anything goes. A beautiful girl named Kurihashi Minami transfers to the all-girls high school Gokurakuin ("Gokujo") from Los Angeles, and she plans to rule Gokujo with her cuteness as her weapon. However, a girl named Akabane Aya confounds Minami's plans on her first day there, and Minami has to deal with the unpredictable life on this campus.

I give this show credit for effort, though it falls far short of genius. The perversion of the ecchi here can be a bit, well, raunchy at times. And sometimes it works out brilliantly, while sometimes it just doesn't. Overall, for fans of dirty-joke ecchi, this show is probably above average, but as a typical basic ecchi/comedy, the raunchiness might be a bit overwhelming. For me, I think probably the best part of this show is the character art. Semi-realistic and ultra-cute at the same time. Some of the facial expressions in the show are pure gold, though sometimes they're utterly half-assed. You win some... You lose some... Definitely for fans of the subject matter (wall to wall ecchi). Anyone else is advised to steer clear.

Gokujo had its moments, but luckily the episodes were 5 mins apiece, b/c anything longer would've been painful to watch. Lots of perverted comedy in this anime, but the comedy can be stale at times.

If you like traditional shoujo manga, move on this isn't for you. but if you enjoy the dissacration of traditional themes, you will enjoy this pervy look at shoujo.
