The intense cold of winter, the sensation of a refreshing summer. Everybody wants to experience the big land in the north - Hokkaido.

Kita he ~Diamond Dust~ is based on that outlook on the world and is centered about the springtime of life. It is about the individual activities of the charming heroines and their experiencing of youth. While expressing the characteristics of that time in a subtle way, the viewer is left behind with a comfortable sensation of emotion.

Heartwarming, malancholy, and bittersweet. This show does an excellent job of just portraying life as it is, though it wouldn't be a show if they only chose the "normal lives". Angsty and a bit dramatic, but realistic about it... Instead of relying on melodrama, this show takes the reality as it is and tells the story. In other words, "Life is beautiful". Not a masterpiece by any stretch, but a surprisingly good presentation of character portraiture nonetheless. Highly recommended for fans of the type. I suppose it's also fair to say that this one can be a bit of a sleeper, too. Don't expect to be able to watch it straight through. 1 2-ep mini arc at a time sounds like a decent pace.

I don't know how I feel about this anime. It makes me feel very melancholy, but it had a good ending. I am particularly glad about Asahina Kyouko's ending. The ending to her arc left me depressed, but the wrap up at the end of the series helped with that. I would recommend this anime for those of you that enjoy seeing other peoples lives and problems in your anime.

Recommended to people who enjoy slow paced episodic series. It wasn't anything unique but the stories were interesting enough. And well... There aren't that much episodic series to choose from...

One of the best slice of life animes, I've ever seen. This one will surely warm your heart, make you smile and inspire you in your everyday life. Highly recommended.
