Instead of taking 1 step forward with the story, it takes 4 steps/eps back before where S1 ended and because of that we revisit and redo old issues that were already solved in S1, but those issue were nowhere near as pronounced/bad as they were in this, I guess this is like some kind of side story that explains how those were solved, except they don't because they differ from the original.
Anyway, the MC is just as annoying if not more, battles are more battles of the mind and/or words, typical cliché shonen stuff, but it at least makes a bit more sense than those, since his power doesn't come out of nowhere and it's not "the power of friendship" either.
The best part of it (for me) was the negligible amount of romances, and that's just sad. 5/10

As mentioned previously if you watched the first season then the sequel you will experience deja-vu...at least I did. For some reason the first few episodes go through the same drama that the MC sorted out in S1, as his teammates come to grips with him being "a son of Satan" which we experienced already. But after getting through that and the set up for the Kyoto arc S2 is ok.
If you liked S1 then you will probably enjoy S2 even though it is half the episodes.

A decent sequel. Don't get me wrong, im happy it got a sequel but if you consider the fact that it took them 6 years to air a sequel to this series, it is slightly underwhelming.

This is quite frustrating for non-manga readers. I was tempted on dropping it a few times. However, around episode 5 is where things start to get interesting.

The overall arc this season covered was decent, but what remained superb in both seasons was the soundtrack. If you enjoyed the previous season, you will enjoy this season.

One of the things that made this a good season was the background that was explained. So much more about the past is explained and ties in with the series.
As always, character growth is one of the things that I value highly in a series. One without it feels stagnant. This series definitely succeeded in that aspect.
