Motivation

For Wikidata entries of genes (and there are many), to include the nucleotide sequence would be really helpful for people working in biomedical sciences. Thus, someone can directly pick up the sequence and made comparisons with other gene sequences from a different organism.

Comment @JMRR-UAM, Conny: There is a hard limit on the size of string-valued properties in wikidata - I believe the limit is 1500 characters. If you would need more than that then this property will not work for what you want. ArthurPSmith (talk) 19:38, 1 May 2019 (UTC)
