Today I will be reviewing the Cherrywood Cleansing Balm from the local brand TATAGALTIER. I am writing this review after finishing the whole tub so it's completely tried and tested by me!

Do you have the same problem as I do? I'm rarely able to finish any of the full-sized toners that I have on my vanity as quickly as other people around me. Sometimes, one 150ml bottle will take months to run out. I wonder if it's because the scrooge in me is always trying to save and make the product lasts as long as it can, or my skincare obsession has spiralled uncontrollably, making me unable to focus on just one toner at a time. Either way, you should get the gist of it; full-sized toners can be a tad too much. Especially if it's a new product that I want to try but not yet sure if it's going to suit my skin or if I want to commit to it in the long run.

A brand love by many and is known to come out with delightful creation of artisanal ice-cream flavours and super cute petit gateaux, Creme de la Creme's newest; the Beauty Elixir is definitely something to look forward to among dessert lovers who dream of healthy skin.

It's that time of the year again where my friends start to go crazy listening to Christmas jingles while I myself go nuts binging on one of my ultimate guilty pleasure: watching cheesy, cliche Christmas romance movies. It's also the time of the year when I got so busy with work at Althea, I don't even have much time to think about my blog or even posting pictures on Instagram. My recent daily routine can be summarised in a pretty short sentence: I wake up, go to work, and go back home afterwards. But, I don't want to end the last month of the year (OMG can you believe it?) posting nothing up on here, I thought why not try squeezing in a quick write up anyway. Plus, I received a box of skincare goodies from Mary Kay recently that I want to talk about. They say; the secret to staying young is by embracing your age and the experiences that come with it. You are youthful, as long as you think that you are. But of course, being able to maintain a young skin to complement that youthful thinking doesn't sound like a bad deal at all right? I wish I can maintain this good mentality all the time but to be honest, saying all that positive stuff about how our age doesn't matter is easier said than done. I guess not many can escape that scary period where you basically just denying how fast time flew and wish you can turn back time to where your skin is just perfect. You know what I mean; the time when its sag-free, wrinkle-free, lines-free!

About two weeks ago, I was invited by Allabox, a local beauty company to their first-anniversary celebration to listen to the back story of the brand, how it came to be and to commemorate the occasion with the founder and some of Allabox team. If you don't know about Allabox, it's basically a platform where you can purchase not just beauty products but also selected fashion items from both local and international brands but with one unique personal twist. The products featured on Allabox are tried and tested buy Allabox team including their founding members, before they decide to bring it to their customers or not.

How familiar are you with skincare terms like AHA, BHA and PHA? If you are a beauty junkie like me, you should notice that these terms have been used more often in many newly released products these days. My earliest recollection of how AHA and BHA fad started was when Paula's Choice products with the same ingredients started to get really known among skincare lovers for their effectiveness on Reddit. Soon after, the K-beauty brand COSRX started to boom internationally as they started to be known as the more affordable dupe of  Paula's Choice products. I know this from early on because my brother is actually a really long-time COSRX fan, around the time when their international fanbase was a small group of people in Reddit, and the packaging was still totally basic. At that time, only God knows how hard it was to purchase K-beauty products in Malaysia too. Now, after a good four (or five) years, there are so many AHA BHA-based products out there available for consumers at different price tags. With the PHA joining the trend this year, I'm sure they are making some of us scratch our heads trying to find out their use of them. But no worries, here I am to make your life easier!

In today's blog post, I am going to introduce you to another new brand called Formula 10.0.6. Some of you might have never heard of this brand before as it is fairly new in Malaysia but Formula 10.0.6 has actually been around since 1933 in the US! Pronounced as Formula 'Ten-O-Six', this brand's main focus is on addressing skin care concerns, especially for trouble-prone young skin. Their US website showcases a wide product range including both skincare and body care but so far, Formula 10.0.6 Malaysia has brought 12 products in and just released another four new masks this month.

Having a dry skin for me means an endless journey to find the perfect moisturiser. I don't like a face cream that is too heavy or oily as they tend to break me out. Meanwhile, some lightweight cream is just mediocre and does nothing to combat the dryness; they do give me hydration in the first one or two hours of application but their effect won't last as long as I want it to be. And boy, having dry skin is no fun! You'll know what I am talking about if you suffer from the same problem as I do. All the flakiness that doesn't seem to want to go away despite how often we exfoliate or how the makeup is never smooth and nice. Sad right? And do you know that having dry skin actually will cause the wrinkles and the fines lines on our face to look more prominent too since the lack of moisture tends to accentuate them more? So yeah, I am sending SOS!

Today I want to talk about two k-beauty products that I've been using from Cremorlab. Since I change my skincare routine and substitute them quite frequently, it took me a long time to give my feedback on these two products but well, better late then never right? A brand which I first discovered through MUSE by Watsons (now available in selected Watsons store), one of their star range is known as Cremorlab T.E.N which focuses on the use of thermal water in their products, sourced 1100 metre underground from hot spring area in Geumjin, Gangwondo, South Korea.

Gosh, I really love the fact that K-beauty is getting a much bigger spotlight in Malaysia. About seven to eight years ago, it was so hard for me to buy a product from any major Korean brands here but now, they're everywhere! This applies to Watsons Malaysia stores as well, they've been bringing new Korean brands and products so frequently, I can't keep track! Not that I am complaining though, because well the more the merrier right? Anyway, seems like they're not stopping anytime soon because last Wednesday I attended the launching event of yet another new brand coming into their store known as Secret Nature.

I was in the midst of finishing two other blog posts when the writer's block hit me. So instead of wallowing and feeling depressed about it, I decided to move my attention and work on something else first so here comes a short review of the Mamonde Rose Water Toner. I think this a high time to do this as well because if you don't know yet, they actually just replaced the old packaging with a newer one. Since I have both old and new design with me, I think the timing couldn't be more perfect either.

Lately, I am on a roll with Mamonde. Been using more of their products that's been hiding in my stash + some of the new ones sent to me by their PR team. One of the more recent ones that I have is the new Mamonde Flower Lab Essence Mask range and being a mask sheet addict, it caught my eyes immediately. I published a review on the Mamonde Flower Essential Mask range before so I wanted to see if there is any difference between the two.

When I was younger, I always wondered why people put on lotion in the first place. I use to hate them, because of how sticky they can be in Malaysia hot and humid weather. But lately, I can't seem to live without a good lotion. My hands have been getting drier than usual that I seem to run out of hand creams just like how I usually run out on pocket tissues; which is in a flash! This could be caused by my morning to evening desk job that has me exposed to the cold air in the air-conditioned room all day, or just due to my age factor, but my dry hands have become one of my biggest skin concern lately.

Getting older is no fun sometimes. I am starting to get super conscious about things like wrinkles especially when I start to see fine lines forming at certain areas of my face such as the forehead and corner of my eyes. Really need to put a halt to my habit of making a weird expression and scrunching my forehead when I am thinking LOL. Also, this makes me wonder how early is too early to start incorporating any anti-aging product into my skincare? As far as I know, there is no exact rule to this and it's never bad to start as early as we can right? Right around the time when I was being more conscious about anti-aging, the brand FromNature reached out and offered me a chance to review their products including the FromNature Age Intensive Essence 95.7%. Being a skincare lover, of course, I said yes. Plus, it's about time that I start to experiment with more 'age prevention' product.

Today I am going to write about the Mamonde Creamy Tint Collection lipsticks that I received not long ago. I managed to play around with all the three shades that I've gotten my hands on so it's time to talk about what I think about them. Under the wing of the k-beauty giant, Amore Pacific, this flower-inspired brand first launched in Malaysia two years ago and they've continued to open more counters around the country to make their product accessible to all of the k-beauty enthusiasts in Malaysia.
