George Rodney, 3rd Baron Rodney of Rodney Stoke was born on 17 June 1782.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. George Rodney, 2nd Baron Rodney of Rodney Stoke and Anne Harley.2 He married Charlotte Georgiana Morgan, daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir Charles Morgan, 2nd Bt. and Mary Margaret Stoney, on 27 February 1819.1 He died on 21 June 1842 at age 60, without issue.1
He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Rodney [G.B., 1764] on 2 January 1802.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Rodney of Rodney Stoke, co. Somerset [G.B., 1782] on 2 January 1802.1 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Radnorshire between 1805 and 1842.1 He graduated with a Doctor of Civil Law (D.C.L.)1
