Lady Elizabeth Lindsay was the daughter of John Lindsay, 17th Earl of Crawford and Lady Margaret Hamilton.1 She married David Carnegie, 3rd Earl of Northesk, son of David Carnegie, 2nd Earl of Northesk and Lady Jean Maule, on 2 September 1669.2 She died in January 1688.1
Her married name became Carnegie. After her marriage, Lady Elizabeth Lindsay was styled as Countess of Northesk on 12 December 1679.

David Carnegie, 3rd Earl of Northesk was born in November 1643.1 He was the son of David Carnegie, 2nd Earl of Northesk and Lady Jean Maule.2 He married Lady Elizabeth Lindsay, daughter of John Lindsay, 17th Earl of Crawford and Lady Margaret Hamilton, on 2 September 1669.1 He died on 3 October 1688 at age 44.1

George Maule, 2nd Earl of Panmure was the son of Patrick Maule, 1st Earl of Panmure and Frances Stanhope. He married Lady Jean Campbell, daughter of John Campbell, 1st Earl of Loudoun and Margaret Campbell, 2nd Baroness Campbell of Loudoun. He died on 24 March 1671.
