John Ashton Shuttleworth was born on 14 November 1918 at Sheffield, Yorkshire, West Riding, England^G.¹ He was the son of Major Ashton Ashton Shuttleworth and Dorothy Ann Leslie.^2,3 He married Margaret Eugenie Blackwell, daughter of Philip William Blackwell, on 25 August 1940.² He died on 2 August 1983 at age 64.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Royal Navy.⁴ He was commanding officer of the H.M.S. Flowerdown between 1958 and 1960.¹ He was commanding officer of the H.M.S.      Nesta Cecil Talbot was born on 6 April 1905.¹ She was the daughter of Captain Henry FitzRoy George Talbot and Susan Blair Athol Allison.¹ She married Captain John Hext Lewes, son of Colonel John Lewes, on 14 December 1929.¹ She died on 16 June 1994 at age 89.¹
