Penelope Mary Bridgeman was the daughter of Sir Orlando Bridgeman, 1st Bt. and Mary Cave.1 She married Thomas Newport, 1st and last Baron Torrington, son of Francis Newport, 1st Earl of Bradford and Lady Diana Russell, on 22 July 1700 at Chelsea, London, EnglandG.1 She died in 1705.1 She died intestate and her estate was administered in March 1706.1

Sir Orlando Bridgeman, 1st Bt. was born circa 1650.2 He was the son of Sir Orlando Bridgeman, 1st Bt. and Dorothy Saunders.3 He and Mary Cave obtained a marriage license on 28 September 1670.2 He died on 20 April 1701.4 He was buried at St. Michael's, Coventry, Warwickshire, EnglandG.4 He died intestate and his estate was administered to his son on 28 November 1701.4
He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1668.2 He was a barrister in 1669.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Horsham from October 1669 to 1679.2 He was created 1st Baronet Bridgeman, of Ridley, co. Chester [England] on 12 November 1673.2

Sir Thomas Cave, 1st Bt. was born circa 1622.2 He was the son of Sir Thomas Cave and Elizabeth Croft.3 He married, firstly, Katharine Haslewood, daughter of Sir Anthony Haslewood and Elizabeth Willmer.4 He married, secondly, Penelope Wenman, daughter of Thomas Wenman, 2nd Viscount Wenman and Margaret Hampden, before 1651.4,2 He died before February 1671.4 His will was proven (by probate) in February 1671.2
He matriculated at St. John's College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 28 April 1637.2 He was appointed Knight on 24 June 1641 at Whitehall, London, EnglandG.2 He was created 1st Baronet Cave, of Stanford, co. Northampton [England] on 30 June 1641.4 He fought in the English Civil War, as a Royalist.4
