     Sir Edward Blackett, 4th Bt. was born on 9 April 1719.1 He was the son of John Blackett and Patience Wise.1 He was baptised at St. Margaret's Church, Westminster, London, EnglandG.1 He married Anne Douglas, daughter of Oley Douglas and Mary Harris, in September 1751.1,2 He died on 3 February 1804 at age 84 at Thorpe Lee, Thorpe, Surrey, EnglandG.1
     He matriculated at Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 16 February 1736/37.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Blackett, of Newcastle, co. Northumberland [E., 1673] on 1 March 1756.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Northumberland from 4 February 1757 to 28 January 1758.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Northumberland between 1768 and 1774.1 He lived at Hexham, Northumberland, EnglandG.1 He lived at Matfen Hall, Stamfordham, Northumberland, EnglandG.1

     Anne Douglas was born circa 1725.1 She was the daughter of Oley Douglas and Mary Harris.1 She married Sir Edward Blackett, 4th Bt., son of John Blackett and Patience Wise, in September 1751.1,2 She died on 30 December 1805 at Thorpe Lee, Thorpe, Surrey, EnglandG.1
     From September 1751, her married name became Blackett.1

     Sir William Blackett, 5th Bt. was born on 16 February 1759 at Matfen Hall, Stamfordham, Northumberland, EnglandG.1 He was the son of Sir Edward Blackett, 4th Bt. and Anne Douglas.1 He married Mary Anne Keene, daughter of Benjamin Keene, on 6 August 1801.1 He died on 27 October 1816 at age 57 at Westoe Lodge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG.1 His will was proven (by probate) in 1817.1
     He matriculated at Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 30 March 1778.1 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Blackett, of Newcastle, co.      From 6 August 1801, her married name became Blackett.1
