     Sir Richard Cromwell was born in 1500.² He was the son of Morgan Williams and Catherine Cromwell.¹ He married Frances Murfyn, daughter of Sir Thomas Murfyn, in 1518.³ He died in 1544.⁴ He was buried on 20 February 1533 at Stepney, London, England.³
     He was given the name of Richard Williams at birth.¹

     Frances Murfyn was the daughter of Sir Thomas Murfyn.¹ She married Sir Richard Cromwell, son of Morgan Williams and Catherine Cromwell, in 1518.²
     From 1518, her married name became Cromwell.²

     Sir Thomas Murfyn held the office of Lord Mayor of London.³ He lived at Ely, Cambridgeshire, England^G.¹

     Morgan Williams was born in 1470.² He married Catherine Cromwell, daughter of Walter Cromwell and Margaret Smythe.³ He died in 1516.²
     He was an ale brewer and innkeeper at Putney, Surrey, England^G.¹

     Catherine Cromwell was born in 1483 at Putney, London, England^G.^2,3 She was the daughter of Walter Cromwell and Margaret Smythe.^4,3 She married Morgan Williams.⁴ She died in 1520.⁵
     Her married name became Williams.⁴

     Thomas Cromwell, 1st and last Earl of Essex was born circa 1485.¹ He was the son of Walter Cromwell and Margaret Smythe.^1,3 He married Elizabeth Wykes, daughter of Henry Wykes, in 1513. He died on 28 July 1540 at Tower Hill, The City, London, England^G, executed.¹
     He gained the title of 1st Earl of Essex. He held the office of Chancellor of the Exchequer on 12 April 1533.⁴ He held the office of Master of the Rolls on 8 October 1534.⁴ He held the office of Lord Privy Seal in 1536.⁴ He held the office of Lord Great Chamberlain in 1539.⁴

     Walter Cromwell was born in 1463.² He married Margaret Smythe.² He died in 1510.²
     He lived at Putney, Surrey, England^G.¹ He was also known as Walter Smyth.¹

     Bridget Cromwell was born in August 1624.^1,3 She was the daughter of Oliver Cromwell and Elizabeth Bouchier.¹ She married, firstly, Lt.-Gen. Henry Ireton, son of German Ireton, on 15 January 1646.³ She married, secondly, General Charles Fleetwood, son of Sir Miles Fleetwood and Anne Luke, on 8 June 1652.³ She died in June 1662 at age 37.^4,3
     From 15 January 1646, her married name became Ireton.³ From 8 June 1652, her married name became Fleetwood.³

     Lt.-Gen. Henry Ireton was born in 1611.² He was the son of German Ireton. He married Bridget Cromwell, daughter of Oliver Cromwell and Elizabeth Bouchier, on 15 January 1646.³ He died on 26 November 1651.²
     He graduated from Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1629 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Appleby in 1645.

     General Charles Fleetwood was born circa 1618.² He was the son of Sir Miles Fleetwood and Anne Luke.² He married, firstly, Frances Smith, daughter of Thomas Smith.¹ He married, secondly, Bridget Cromwell, daughter of Oliver Cromwell and Elizabeth Bouchier, on 8 June 1652.³ He married, thirdly, Mary Coke, daughter of Sir John Coke, on 14 January 1664.³ He died on 4 October 1692.²
     He was Commander-in-Chief of the Parliamentary Army in Ireland.¹ He held the office of Lord Deputy of Ireland between 1652 and 1655.²
