Lady Isabella Helen Douglas was born on 8 January 1811.2 She was the daughter of Thomas Douglas, 5th Earl of Selkirk and Joan Wedderburn.1 She married Hon. Charles Hope, son of General John Hope, 4th Earl of Hopetoun and Louisa Dorothea Wedderburn, on 26 October 1841.1 She died on 4 July 1893 at age 82.2

Charles Hope was born on 11 September 1808.2 He was the son of General John Hope, 4th Earl of Hopetoun and Louisa Dorothea Wedderburn.2,1 He was baptised on 26 September 1808 at Abercorn, West Lothian, ScotlandG.3 He married Lady Isabella Helen Douglas, daughter of Thomas Douglas, 5th Earl of Selkirk and Joan Wedderburn, on 26 October 1841.1 He died on 31 October 1893 at age 85.2
