The first communications satellite of Azerbaijan, Azerspace-1, was launched into
geostationary orbit at 46 degrees east longitude on Feb.
It would use an electric motor pulley to go 36,000-km up towards a
geostationary orbit station and provide regular access to space.
The satellite, known as IntelSat 35e, soared into the blue sky over Cape Canaveral at 7: 38 pm (2338 GMT), riding a Falcon 9 rocket to a distant,
geostationary orbit. The force required to send the payload to space meant SpaceX decided not to attempt to return the first stage of its Falcon 9 rocket for an upright landing.
According to the previous discussion, the chosen parameters of displaced
geostationary orbit ([r.sub.d], [[THETA].sub.d]) should meet the following criteria:

Isro said the first orbit raising operation is scheduled for tomorrow at around 03:50am as part of manoeuvres to place the satellite finally in its designated slot at 55 deg East longitude in the
Geostationary orbit and co-located with GSAT-8, IRNSS-1A and IRNSS-1B satellites.
While INSAT-3DR will be positioned in
geostationary orbit and is expected to be ready by June 2015, GISAT is still in the preparatory stage.

As multifunctional transport satellites, the Himawari-6 was launched in February 2005 and placed in
geostationary orbit the following month, while the Himawari-7 was launched and put in orbit in February 2006.
