Wind-dispersed species in the earliest succession stage contained the dominant species of Arenaria delavayi and Meconopsis horridula and late successional common species with the same dispersal modes including Saussurea columnaris, Parasenecio hastiformis, Saussurea fastuosa,
Anaphalis nepalensis, and Saussurea vestita.

Anaphalis cinnamomea, Carex condensata, Conyza japonica, Desmodium polycarpum, Erigeron karvinskianus, Galium rotundifolium, Gerbera macrophylla, Geum elatum, Ocimum tenuiflorum, Oplismenus compositus, Ranunculus diffusus, Scutellaria angulosa, Senecio rufinervis, Verbascum thapsus, and Viola canescens were widely distributed and present on all the sites.
Thirteen native plant species were identified as having the highest constancy and cover: Achillea millefolium; Allium spp.;
Anaphalis margaritacea; Epilobium brachycarpum; Eriogonum spp.; Fragaria virginiana; Lupinus spp.; Poa pratensis; Poa secunda; Polygonum douglassi; Potentilla gracilis; Pseudoroegneria spicata; and Sedum stenopetalum.
All are happy in sun or shade, although die colour lends itself to mixing with die silver emerging leaves of Stachys lanata (lamb's lugs),
anaphalis or some of the artemisias.
