Discontinuation Mean?

Starting December 1, 2023, Progress Software discontinues Telerik UI for UWP future purchases. Providing technical support and shipping critical fixes will continue for a year until December 1, 2024. Effective December 1, 2024, Telerik UI for UWP will no longer be offered as part of Progress Developer Tools portfolio.

When a product reaches the end of life, it means we will no longer release updates or new features. While you can continue to use it, we strongly recommend considering a transition to a supported platform for long-term compatibility and security.
4. I have purchased a Telerik DevCraft bundle. What changes should I expect?

Effective December 1, 2023, any new Telerik DevCraft license will no longer include Telerik UI for UWP. To ensure a smooth transition, we will continue providing support and critical fixes for all active clients for one year until December 1, 2024.
5. Will my current Telerik UI for UWP applications continue to work after the deprecation date?

Yes, your existing applications will continue to work. The last officially released package will remain available until December 1, 2024, in Your Account -> Downloads section. However, without ongoing updates and security patches, there may be increased risks in the long run. We encourage planning a transition to a supported technology stack.
6. What support and resources will be available after the deprecation date?

Technical support through our standard channels (tickets, forums, documentation, demos and knowledge base) as well as critical fixes will remain available until December 1, 2024. We recommend considering an upgrade or migration to a supported product for ongoing support.
7. What are my migration options if I want to continue using Telerik controls in my applications?

We recommend migrating to a supported technology stack. Explore Telerik and Kendo UI for other platforms like WinUI and .NET MAUI. Migration resources may be available to assist in the transition.
