NMS Software Installation Instruction
NMS is based on CAN-bus and integrated with gateway equipment to

achieve the function to connect local network or the internet. Reliable and
flexible proven Client/Server system architecture is adopted allowing local or
remote one or more PC work stations to monitor at the same time up to 9,999
centralized or decentralized elevators, escalators and/or travelators of mixed
types or a single type.
NMS software installation includes server software installation and
customer-end software installation. Details as below:
I. NMS server software installation

Install server software via software installation CD or software installation
package.
1) Click “setup.exe” under installation directory to start installation. This
installation package will finish installation of .NET Framework、Visual C++
Runtime Libraries、NMS Server、MySQL Server one by one:

2) Click “Accept” to install .NET Framework;
3) Select “Install” to install Visual C++ Runtime Libraries. It would take several
minutes. Please wait patiently;

4) Click “Next” to install NMS Sever;
5) Click “Browse” to self-define NMS installation path. It’s recommended to

click “Next” directly to keep default installation path (not mandatory);

6) Click “Next” for next step;
7) Below dialogue window will come up after NMS Sever installation is finished.
Please note down the 16 numbers “License Number” and contact G-Tech
technology support for activate code. Input the “Activate code” got from G-Tech
and then click “Activate”;
Note: Activated window and MySQL Server installation window would
come up at the same time. Please finish activation first before starting
MySQL Server installation

8) Click “确定/Confirm” to finish activation. And then click “Close” to end NMS
Server installation;
9) Click “Next” to enter MySQL Server installation;

10) Select “Custom” for self-defined installation;
11) Click “Next” for next step

12) Click “Install”
13) Click “Next”

14) At the end of MySQL Server installation, select “Configure the MySQL
Server now” and click “Finish” to enter database configuration
15) Click “Next” (same for the following steps)

16) Select “Best Support For Multilingualism” and then click “Next”;

17) Click “Next”;
18) Set root user password (this must be remembered). NMS server software
accesses MySQL database via this root user. Input password in the input box
behind “New root password” and input again in the input box behind “Confirm”.

19) After root user password is set, click “Next”
20) Click “Execute” to start MySQL configuration

21) Click “Finish”. Till now, server software installation is finished.
2. NMS client software installation
1) Double click installation file “NMSClient.exe” under installation directory to

start installation

2) Select “I agree to the terms of this license agreement” and click “Next”
3) Click “Next”

4) Select installation package – NMS Client (monitoring client end, mandatory)

and NMS Client for Fire Control Panel (fire monitoring, optional), and then click
“Next”
5) Select installation path (to keep default value if no setting) and then click
“Next”

6) Click “Next”
7) Confirm installation information and click “Next”

8) Installation process
9) After “Finish” is clicked, it will install “Adobe Flash Player ActiveX”

After “Adobe Flash Player ActiveX” is installed, click “Finish” again to end
client software installation.
10) If it shows “the Adobe Flash Player Active X” to be installed is not the
newest version…” during installation, it means that Adobe Flash Player
ActiveX is already installed in the computer. So click “Confirm/确定” to exist
installation.
11) Till now, client-end software installation is finished.
