Good morning (afternoon), American Chimney "Because your home is

your Sanctuary", this is ________________, how may I help you?

I can help you with that. Have we serviced your chimney (or Air Ducts)
in the past?

Let me just say that in addition to our services, our company has
developed what we call "The Home Sanctuary Experience", a service
system designed to ensure your peace of mind and true care for your
home." If you'd like I can give go over that system with you in detail.
What part of town are you in? Do you know how many total registers
you have? Is there more than one furnace? Is the furnace located in an
attic or crawl space?
Our base charge for air duct cleaning is $349, and this covers up to 10
registers. There is an additional charge of $14 for each register over 10.
(Note here if the $80 charge for 2nd furnace or $50 access charge for attic
or crawl space apply). Our technicians are thoroughly trained in the
technical aspects of this service as well as how to protect your home and
property during the cleaning process. Of course we are licensed,
bonded and insured and we guarantee no mess. We are also members
of the Better Business Bureau. Would you like me to tell you what our

Most of our customers tell us that the reason they chose our company is

customer service. At American Chimney we know how difficult it is to find
skilled service technicians who also respect the time and effort you put into
the upkeep of your home. That’s why American Chimney has developed
the “Home Sanctuary Experience”, a service system designed to ensure
your peace of mind, and true care for your home.
Would you like me to tell you what our service involves?
If yes…
We use a trailer mounted gas powered vacuum system that moves

approximately 5500 cubic feet of air per minute through system. We'll
have two technicians working at your home, and the average job will
take about 4-5 hours. You’ll be given the names of the technicians
before they are dispatched to your home. If you like, they will call you
when they are on the way to your home (about a half hour ahead).
They’ll be driving a clearly marked company vehicle and dressed in our
company uniform. They’ll have their Certification Card with their
picture identification.
The technician will introduce himself and present you with his business
card. Next, he will come in and lay rug runners at the entryway to
protect the carpet and floor. We also wear protective booties to
eliminate the possibility of tracking anything into your home. We will
then do a preliminary inspection to determine the location of all of the
registers, and how to best access the ductwork with our equipment. We
we'll park our vacuum system outside the home at a point close to
where the furnace is located. A 10" diameter hose is run from the
vacuum and connected to the plenum of the furnace. All of the registers
will be covered to keep the system under negative pressure during the
cleaning process. Typically we clean the supply side of your system first
(the side that blows the heat). Each register cover is blown clean with
compressed air and removed.
The interior of the duct work is cleaned with a combination of

compressed air and agitation equipment the travel through the system
and dislodge the dust and debris. Once airborne inside the duct, the
debris is drawn through the system and into the vacuum. The heavier
debris is collected at the furnace and remove by hand & our shop vac.
Once the entire supply side has been cleaned, the process is repeated on
the return side. We all clean off the blower fan assembly as well as the
heat exchanger. If your system has an electronic air cleaner, these
components will be blown clean, or you can run them through your
dishwasher. After cleaning the ductwork, an EPA approved product is
misted through the system to deodorize and sanitize it.

We do insurance company inspections and provide written estimates. Did you know the National Fire
Protection Association recommends annual inspection for all chimneys with cleaning performed as needed?
