A urogynecologist meets with a patient.
A renowned team dedicated to your care
Our division was one of the first urogynecology departments on Long Island and is the largest in New York state. And our experts have over 100 years of combined experience in urogynecology. That means exceptional expertise for your exact needs.

About us

Our dedicated team of physicians in the Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery Division are pioneers of care for women with bladder and pelvic abnormalities. We’re dedicated to improving quality of life for women who suffer from complex disorders, such as pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, bladder infections and sexual problems. Together, we fuse the expertise of several specialties, such as urology and gynecology, in addition to elements of gastroenterology, which allows us to treat even the most complex conditions.

Our team collaborates with other departments, such as urology, gastroenterology, colorectal surgery and physical therapy. This coordinated, interdisciplinary approach allows us to offer you well-rounded, comprehensive care, allowing you to enjoy your life and live comfortably.

Surgical and nonsurgical treatment options are offered and decisions are made on an individual basis. Those who elect to have surgery will likely be a candidate for a minimally invasive technique that offers long-lasting results with a rapid recovery. Our noninvasive approaches include Botox injections, urethral injections, vaginal surgery and robotic surgery. Vaginal surgery eliminates any incisions from the belly with the entire surgery performed through the vagina. Robot-assisted procedures give our skilled surgeons even more precision, accuracy and flexibility than ever before, while reducing postoperative pain and recovery time. You will be cared for by fellowship-trained urogynecologists who possess a unique blend of gynecologic and urologic surgical training.

Several Northwell Health locations received the title of a Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (COEMIG) by the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists and the Surgical Review Corporation. Our surgeons constantly look to improve their approaches through minimally invasive procedures in an effort to give you the best treatment possible.
