First German twin database online
The first register in Germany in which identical and fraternal twins can register for studies is now online. Twins are particularly interesting for research because they provide valuable information about the influence of genes, health and the environment. GerTRuD.info is an initiative of the Center for Environmental Neuroscience at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development and its partners.
New podcast Unraveling Behavior launched
A new science podcast, Unraveling Behavior, has been launched by the Center for Adaptive Rationality. Artist duo joins Artist & AI Residency
The artist duo Varvara Guljajeva and Mar Canet Solà are set to join the Artist & AI Residency at the Center for Humans and Machines (CHM) from August to December 2024. Renowned for their innovative exploration of the intersection of art, technology, and society, the pair has been creating thought-provoking work since 2009, particularly focusing on the profound impacts of the digital age.

Simone Kühn is new director at the Institute
Simone Kühn is a new director at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development and will lead the Center for Environmental Neuroscience starting in July 2024. She continues the work of her Lise Meitner Group for Environmental Neuroscience at the institute. Her focus is on investigating the effects of the physical environment on individuals and their brains.
