The Final Test Wonder Gauntlet is a course in the Special World of Super Mario Bros. Wonder. It features many Wonder Effects that the player has seen across their adventure. It is unlocked after beating The Semifinal Test Piranha Plant Reprise, and it requires 16 Wonder Seeds from the Special World to unlock. This course features two Wonder Seeds. Completion of this level alongside clearing The Final Battle! Bowser's Rage Stage and collecting every Wonder Seed, 10-flower coin, and golden flag unlocks the level The Final-Final Test Badge Marathon.
Layout[edit]
The level takes place in a castle. Once the player touches the Wonder Flower, two sets of poison appear, with the purple one at the bottom and the green one at the top. Also, a pipe becomes an Inchworm Pipe and travels across the green poison. The player must avoid the Condrops and Blewbirds blowing bubbles while the speed of the course alternates between fast and slow. After two pipes fall and trap the Inchworm Pipe, the player needs to jump across the lifts and avoid two sets of poison while the speed changes. A group of Gnawshers appears on the left, and the player needs to get past the jewel blocks and jump on the Anglefish to reach the other side. The course becomes dark while Sproings extend and Semisolid Platforms come to life and begin walking. The player must jump on the diagonally flying Missile Megs, then ride the ship to travel safely across the poison while avoiding Spikes and Lightning. Rifts appear to the left side chasing the player, then the background tilts to the right with rolling Hoppos, with one being a giant Hoppo. After the background reverts to normal, magical hills will appear with Rolla Koopas skating. To conclude, the player must collect the raining Super Stars to dash through enemies and to obtain the Wonder Seed. After grabbing the Goal Pole, the second Wonder Seed is obtained.
Hidden Character Blocks[edit]
- A Daisy Hidden Character Block can be found near the first 10-flower coin attached to the ceiling just below the warp pipe. It contains a Super Mushroom/Drill Mushroom.
- A Yellow Yoshi Hidden Character Block can be found just before the Sproing section, attached to the first step leading down to the section. It contains a 1-Up Mushroom.
10-flower coins[edit]
- 10-flower coin 1: Found behind an L-shaped pipe in the inchworm pipe segment. Activating a Wow Bud on the pipe will make it fall, allowing the first 10-flower coin to be reached.
- 10-flower coin 2: Found in the dark segment. Before it can be reached, the player will have to kill or avoid many Sproings to reach the second 10-flower coin under a platform before advancing to the living Semisolid Platforms.
- 10-flower coin 3: Found on the top of a semisolid platform in the Rolla Koopa section. The player can either stomp on a Rolla Koopa and throw its shell upward, or the player can jump off a magical hill to reach the top of the semisolid platform, both methods reaching the third and final 10-flower coin.
