Bill Trinen is the former Japanese-to-English translator and the vice president of player and product experience of Nintendo of America. He has frequently appeared in Nintendo Directs and helped translate the languages of several Japanese developers, such as Shigeru Miyamoto.[citation needed] He also helped translate bug reports for several Nintendo video games, beginning with The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, while his first Super Mario game translation was the original Mario Party in 1998.[citation needed] He was later hired full-time for the Nintendo Treehouse, Nintendo's product development division.[citation needed]
