Hollywood Bikers (Updated 01/17/12)

I have a picture of Marlon from 'The Wild One' as Johnny leading The Black Rebels MC. Brando rode his personal 1950 Triumph Thunderbird in this film.


I have another shot of him on the set sitting on a bike that belonged to the film's stunt rider.


I have the iconic image of Brando reclining on his Triumph taken from overhead.


And I even have a shot of him on his bike beside his sister, Jocelyn sitting on a bike.

I have 3 shots of Lee Marvin as Chino from 'The Wild One' on the Harley Davidson Flathead Bopper he rode in the film. It was probably a '49 or a '50 model.

Chino appears to be taunting Johnny with the trophy he has attached to the handlebars of his Harley.

I have a great shot of Jack from the 1967 movie 'Rebel Rousers'. He is sitting on a 1945 Flathead Harley with Springer front forks and dove tail exhaust pipes that look like trumpets.

Here I would put a shot of James Dean on the set of 'Rebel Without a Cause' astride an old Austrian-made "Puch". These bikes were sold in the US through Sears and Roebuck.

Dean later became known as a Triumph T5 Trophy rider.

I have an image of Steve competing on a motocross track.


I have another picture of Steve on the set of 'The Sand Pebbles' on what might be a Honda. He is racing his co-star, Richard Crenna, who is peddling a rickshaw.


And I have a shot of Steve on a German WWII military motorcycle with James Garner on the back and James Coburn in the sidecar. They are on the set of 'The Great Escape'.

I have a picture of Alan Ladd riding a motorcycle that appears to be an Indian.

Anthony Quinn on a Triumph with a mini-skirted, go-go booted, chick in tow. She resembles Ann-Margaret, but I am not sure.

The second is from the movie 'Roustabout'. Elvis riding a BSA(?) with co-star Barabara Stanwyck on the back.

Here we see teen idol Frankie sitting on a police motorcycle that looks like a flat head Harley to me.

He is on an unidentified cruiser on a studio backlot in the first one.


The second one has Clark Gable in front of what looks like it could be his garage, looking over a map on an unidentified motorcycle. I can't quite make out the name on the tank or identify the motor. I hope he doesn't plan to ride with the footwear he has on here.

Here is one of the 3 Honda CL350 motorcycles that were custom-built for the movie. The actress from the movie is sitting on it.

The bike appears to have mud splashed all over the tank, forks, tires, and exhaust, but his passenger's dress (and his penny loafers) are spotless. Cira late 50's or early 60's.

This looks like it could be on a studio lot. Mickey is sitting in front of his Harley Davidson.
