Meet the HS Secretariat

The LIMUN Foundation is a charity, and we rely on the talent and generosity of amazing student volunteers to deliver our two annual conferences.

In order to continue to deliver two conferences annually, we need the delegates of today to be sufficiently impacted by their experience so they too want to give back by volunteering in the future. If that’s you and you’re interested in joining a future Secretariat, send us an email - we’d be delighted to hear from you!

2024 HS Secretariat

  • Terry Tergel Batnasan, LIMUN HS 2024 Secretary-General, UC

    Terry Tergel Batnasan, Secretary-General

Terry has been a familiar face to the LIMUN family for years and has returned to the High School conference to make his mark in history. He started participating in Model United Nations (MUN) in 2015 and joined the LIMUN family in 2017 and is honoured and privileged to serve as the Secretary-General for LIMUN High School Edition VIII. Terry began his journey with LIMUN as a delegate at LIMUN HS Edition III and has since been a delegate for LIMUN UC, Co-Chair for both LIMUN HS and UC, and Chair for LIMUN HS and UC. He most recently served as the USG Chairing for LIMUN HS Edition VI and USG External Relations for LIMUN UC 2023. This will be Terry's 11th LIMUN conference, and he has some exciting new ideas to make this conference the best one yet. Terry's goal is to ensure that each delegate enjoys their time at LIMUN HS as much as he did when he first attended as a delegate.

Outside of MUN, Terry has recently graduated with his undergraduate in BSc Financial Mathematics as he hopes to enter the working world whilst hopefully completing his Masters's degree within the next few years. He enjoys meeting new people and travelling as much as he can and hopes to explore as many new places and cultures as he can.

Her utmost desire for all the delegates is to learn the actual value and importance of Model United Nations, which is not only to showcase your negotiation and problem-solving skills but to learn from one another and work collaboratively towards solving a problem. Julia believes that MUN offers a platform for mutual learning and collaborative efforts towards resolving global issues. She encourages delegates to not only focus on personal growth but also to foster friendships, as the memories they create will be influenced by how they shape their MUN experience.

Besides MUN, Julia enjoys rewatching her favourite musicals, Tetris battles, and binging on shark tank. Professionally, her ambition lies in driving the shift to a completely circular economy within the food sector, helping mitigate climate change and eventually moving to a colony on Mars.

  • Under-Secretary-General for Chairing

Introducing Mohammed, the accidental MUN enthusiast since 2014. His MUN journey has a uniquely genuine origin story - a "bitten-by-a-radioactive-delegate" scenario, or at least that's how he enjoys picturing it. Since then, it's been one adventure after another in the realm of geopolitics. Mohammed has attended 50+ conferences, including multiple LIMUN events. His mission as the USG of Chairing for LIMUN HS is clear: to ensure every participant, whether delegate or chair, leaves having learned something new, in an enjoyable and safe setting. With his secretariat team, he aims to collaborate with top chairs to make the conference a haven for aspiring MUNers.

Currently, Mohammed juggles being a final year BSc Economics, Finance, and Management student while combating a surprisingly strong hot chocolate addiction. His friends describe his relationship with Economics as "Mario with a degree" - jumping through economic hoops, discovering the cheat-code to understand taxes, and collecting coins for an extra life. In the future, Mohammed aspires to enter the consultancy field, where he can spend his days problem-solving, leaving a lasting impact.
