I'm starting to get worried. There are plenty of counter-examples to this, but in general, once a certain number of years pass (say, 3-4) after a band's latest release, it becomes exponentially less likely with each passing year that they'll be back. Lots of reasons for that. People often age out of the industry; they get families, regular work schedules. (Not commonly acknowledged, but very few bands and musicians make enough money from music alone to have a sustainable living; the vast majority have "day jobs" that aren't easily put on pause while the band records an album and goes on a maybe-we'll-break-even tour.) Often, personalities clash after a few years, particularly over so-called "creative differences." Unless you're super wealthy like the Rolling Stones, and can travel in 1st class, touring also just gets harder on your body as you age into your 30s and 40s.

No kidding. I miss these guys, and I regret that I never had the opportunity to catch them live. If they are finished, I hope they might consider putting out a proper live album. And they probably have lots of recorded material that never made it into albums, so they could probably put together a collection of unreleased and/or hard to find stuff. I'm betting these guys have at least an album or two worth of that kind stuff they could put together for Bandcamp.

Sea When Absent is a big flop for me. Every other album they have done I love; but that one is just not good in my opinion. Seems like to much is mashed in and they are trying for to much sound diversity. Kind of reminds me of Animal collective and that's not a good thing.
