Celer is a music and art project founded in Huntington Beach, California, United States by Will Long and Danielle Baquet-Long (aka Chubby Wolf).
Founded in 2005, at the beginning of their relationship in Huntington Beach, California, U.S.A. After producing music for record labels, installations, and exhibits worldwide from 2005-2009, Danielle Baquet-Long died on July 8, 2009 of heart failure. From 2009 to 2022, Celer was the solo project of Will Long.
In May 2022, Celer's Bandcamp page listed the project as ending in 2022 - according to the artist's personal website, what appeared to be the artist's final performance is set for July 10, 2022 in New York City. However, Will later refuted this and the end-date on the Bandcamp page was removed. As of October 2024, the project appears to be on hiatus with Will focusing on reissues and physical editions of previously digital-only releases.
He curates and manages the label Two Acorns, and is involved with the Normal Cookie and Bun Tapes labels. Currently he is collaborating with artists such as with Miko under the name Oh, Yoko, and with Christoph Heemann as Hollywood Dream Trip. He has been a part of other projects with Hakobune, Machinefabriek, Mathieu Ruhlmann, and Yui Onodera.
