been feeling this way since. but i have to admit, when these things are so embedded into the music through song titles and album covers, it is near impossible to listen without a horrible taste in your mouth. this is music in dire need of a reassessment, and not to be forgotten.

"embedded in the music" didnt his response cover this? he said the titles didnt have anything to do with what maisy had claimed iirc. i dont remember anything about the cover, though. regardless i find maisy's claims to be extremely doubtful considering she originally posted out of context screenshots acting as if they weren't instigated by her in a very obvious attempt to smear anton's image. whatever. this whole drama is so fucking obnoxious and childish. neither of them are good people, both are victims of each other. i find it absolutely hilarious that the person who supplied evidence to back up their points was deemed guilty because friends of maisy joined in on the image-smearing and claimed it was a "darvo" as an attempt to de-value everything anton said. i find it hilarious that the person who apologized for their past misbehavior, with claims to have grown since was found guilty when the person who excused their misbehavior with mental illness got off scot-free.

honestly, looking back at this post now and the whole website he did regarding the allegations is so depressing and horrid. i always looked up to this guy, he always made me feel happy and nostalgic with his music. his unreleased projects and stuff he released made me always appreciate him. he was by far my favorite electronic artist because of how talented and special he was but its so awful and horrid seeing the things he did back then. now i just watch chaos happen in his comment sections and his music being taken down on spotify. guess thats just how things work around in the music industry but god i never expected him to do this nor did i ever want this to happen. always used to look up to this guy god fucking damn it dude

the victim has made a counter-response, it's on her rym and her username is wrought, here's the cliffs notes version for those who will inevitably not bother to go there: maisy was 16 when her and anton had officially started dating, and anton was grooming her before then for months. maisy was sexually abused by a lot of different people, some of the abuse was ongoing when she met anton, and this caused her brain to be very scrambled in those regards. she referred to herself as a 'pedophile' because she had pocd from csa, and didn't know what pocd was so she beat herself up over those intrusive thoughts a lot. she was self-destructive and a compulsive liar leading to all of those outbursts that anton 'exposed' her for, and she admits that lying about doing anything to her cousin was inexcusable and takes accountability for that, but that she has never sexually abused anyone.

anton used common darvo tactics in his response to make her look bad, but his arguments start falling through when you lay down objective facts. which are that he was dating a mentally disabled 16 year old girl who was actively being abused, he seeked out at least some form of a sexual relationship with her AND he admitted that he was turned on by pictures of her when she was 14. literally nothing about the situation has changed other than the fact that he humiliated maisy to try and save face, and it still didn't work to anyone who has critical thinking skills and is familiar with grooming tactics.

i guess there's also this "big new piece of evidence damning anton" but who says he won't just respond to this too? there's nothing to be done aside from choose whoever you think is more right, and personally i'd think it'd be more mature of both of them to just acknowledge what had happened and learn from it rather than placing blame, and that being said i do appreciate anton's effort in apologizing for his mistakes and, given it's been about 3 years, his promises of bettering himself hold very truthful for me, though i still don't think forgiveness is within the question at this point since it's up to those directly involved to dictate such.

i wont further this conversation after this post because you and i will never reach an agreement, however my stance will remain on the fence. i can’t believe what either has said because both are claiming the other is lying. i’d also like to believe that until proven to be rotten, his intentions were not to prey on a younger person with mental ailments. in fact i find it hard to believe he could know such a thing without becoming close to her, and reading those dms it seems to me that both of them were co-dependent, and such was not healthy for either of them. it is because of this co-dependance that both made the decisions they did. i have read her statement and it is because i have that this conclusion has been met. in regards to her reasoning, anton hasn’t logged onto rym in what seems to be about a year, maybe more. he could have a new account but if so then i am not aware of it, and given the situation i think it best to not assume anything more than i already have. take care.

i used to look up to you, your videos and music really helped me through tough things during the worst year of my life, seeing someone who's evidently gone through similar things as i have actually achieve something that i dreamed of just turned out to be someone i never want to become. i doubt you'll even see this and i doubt you care.... i dont even know i forgot what i was gonna say, was probably going to be something more meaningful but im just kinda disappointed and cant think. i hope you can grow from this and don't make the same mistakes again.
