LEGO Minecraft The Skeleton Attack review! 21146

I don't know why, but when I started building this set I felt like I had really been missing LEGO Minecraft stuff.  The set itself isn't at all ground-breaking, but I think it successfully captures a piece of the gaming world with useful physical play considerations.

LEGO Minecraft The Mountain Cave build & review videos 21137

Largest. LEGO. Minecraft. Set. Ever.  Well, technically I believe The Village had a wider horizontal spread, but the height, man, the height...

Plus, this Mountain Cave is more than just a pretty face.  Around the back where you normally expect limited access for a handful of minifigures to just barely fit into some narrow floor spaces, we instead get a proper, cavernous, cave, with room for two human hands to reach inside and manipulate a very satisfying number of details.

LEGO Minecraft The Witch Hut review! 21133

Just like that, another theme bites the dust; review queue-wise, that is.  This is the last 2017 LEGO Minecraft set so far, with of course more to come later in the year (the Ocean Monument coming the soonest).

LEGO Minecraft The Mooshroom Island review - 21129

Very nice price/part ratio on this set & feels like a good value for its low price.  Just don't expect anything especially awe-inspiring in the build.

LEGO Minecraft Jungle Temple review! 21132

Out of all of the new Minecraft sets in this release wave, the Jungle Temple was the one I was most looking forward to on account of its appearance.  It could be a simple case of "beauty is in the eye of the beholder," though.

Custom LEGO Minecraft display, complete at last -- for now!

Major, major milestone here!  I started on my first LEGO Minecraft display back in early summer 2014 and most of the subsequent effort was shifted to New JANG City after I moved in 2015.  This entire time, though, it's been easier for me to talk about what was upcoming than what was complete.  Now, finally, the entire overworld layout has terrain built upon it and the whole place has come to life!

LEGO Minecraft Skin Packs 1 & 2 reviewed!

Finally some variety to break up the battalions of Steves and squads of Alexes we've gotten in the sets so far!

LEGO Minecraft: The Fortress review! 21127

One more boxed LEGO Minecraft set for the year here, and it's one of the big ones, first seen at a toy fair months ago and finally available to purchase.

LEGO Minecraft custom layout update

You've seen some progress pics on Instagram, but I figured I should share something in video form for folks who prefer to follow along only on YouTube.  Another corner is now nearly complete, with just one to go, and about 3/4ths of the bulk of the latter is in place as well.

Unfortunately I'm again nearing a point where I must wait for more parts from Bricklink, but I'll probably switch back over to the train station in the interim to keep the MOC momentum going strong!

LEGO Minecraft The Village set review! 21128

Just released for purchase yesterday, here's one of LEGO's really big Minecraft sets for the season.  My biggest qualm with this one is the strange inclusion of only two actual villagers!  I want more!  I need more!

Better custom LEGO Minecraft Iron Golem MOC

I first made my Iron Golem MOC back in October 2014 before the first official LEGO Minecraft sets were released.  I was happy enough with it then, but now that the official mob is out, I'm able to use better parts!

This is a modification of my original and still has some of the original body parts in it, unmoved, but I've made some small structural alterations and also completely rethought the legs.  Much better now!

LEGO Minecraft The Wither reviewed! 21126

This is the last of the reasonably-sized Minecraft sets for the first release season of 2016.  The next one up will be the big Fortress!

LEGO Minecraft Jungle Tree House review! 21125

This is such a proper piece of the Minecraft universe, carefully excised, brought into reality and converted to LEGO.   Brings me joy and satisfaction to look at.

LEGO Minecraft 2016 The End Portal review! 21124

I feel like the Minecraft line has stepped up a notch this season with more realistic settings that simply feel more believable to me, like I'm there in the game.

LEGO Minecraft 2016 The Iron Golem set review! 21123

Hmm, the actual Iron Golem figure that gives this set its name is a bit iffy to me, but the set on the whole is more interesting than I expected.
