MW3 Warzone Urzikstan New Map Release Date and Details
A new era of Warzone is upon us, following the massive release of Modern Warfare 3. With this new take on Warzone, we also launch into a whole new locale. Welcome to the Urzikstan map, home of bleak cityscapes and snowy mountains as far as the eye can see.

Modern Warfare Warzone Urzikstan Map Release Date
The new Urzikstan map is set to release with the launch of Warzone Season 1 for Modern Warfare 3, on December 6, 2023.

Modern Warfare Warzone Urzikstan Map Details
The newest Warzone map to kick off the fresh Season 1 of Warzone features the best of urban, suburban, and rural locales. There are eleven new major Points of Interest to explore in Urzikstan, a total of 38 named locations overall, plus a drivable - yes, drivable - train that makes its way around the map!

- Popov Power
- Orlov Military Base
- Levin Resort
- Urzikstan Cargo
- Seaport District
- Old Town
- Low Town
- Hadida Farms
- Zaravan City
- Zaravan Suburbs
- Shahin Manor
For the first 48 hours of Season 1 launch on December 6, 2023, Urzikstan will be the only available map for all game modes. The following game modes will be available on launch:
- Battle Royale
- Resurgence
- Plunder
- Urzikstan Resurgence
The following game modes will be available in Warzone Season 1 after the initial 48 hour window of season launch:
- Lockdown
- Slay Ride Resurgence (LTM)
MW3 Warzone Urzikstan New Environmental Elements
New environmental elements to reflect all the advancements Modern Warfare 3 have introduced, including a drivable train, horizontal ziplines, a new land vehicle.

New Drivable Train
The train on the new Urzikstan map can be driven by players! It is in essence a mobile Point of Interest. The train has forward and backward engine controls, and a handbrake in the caboose. You can also find the following features on board:
- Buy Station
- UAV Tower
- Horn
- Ammo Depot
- Legendary Supply Crate
New Horizontal Ziplines
Urzikstan has some more challenging topography to travel than previous Warzone maps. That's where horizontal ziplines come in! You can now find horizontal ziplines spanning the distance from several different locations across the map.
New Vehicle: Coyote
Take the battle on the road... or off-road! The Coyote is a new lightly-armored vehicle capable of off-road venturing. There is a mounted machine gun atop it to deal with any enemy players who try to challenge you while aboard.
MW3 Warzone New Gulag
A new map means a new Gulag! Not only is this new edition of the Gulag reveal a different environment, the Urzikstan Gulag has some new gameplay updates:

- Ascender Overtime Finisher: Replacing the old overtime flag, players are now provided an exfil rope that drops into the middle of the Gulag during the match allowing extraction – but, be warned! You can both shoot, and be shot at, from the Ascender!
- Gulag Public Events: Several new Public Events may also occur within the Gulag, such as Go Again (an additional Gulag attempt if you lose the first fight), Cash Grab (more money on the floor with a big stack in the middle of the map) and Locked & Loaded Weapons (AMG + SMG Loadout with full armor), helping the victor by bringing back some much-needed power items into the match.
- Night Vision Gulag (In-Season): NVG has a new name, as the Gulag will occasionally go dark while equipping Operators with night-vision goggles for a fun new twist on the Gulag experience.
