Step Inside

Step Inside is a Halo Infinite trailer, under the Become marketing campaign, released on July 23, 2020. It depicts the creation of John-117's MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor (GEN3).[1]
Transcript[edit]
The trailer starts with a rotating station near a planet. It then cuts to inside the station showcasing parts being made.
- Catherine Halsey: "Mjolnir Exosuit is now complete."
The parts are then began to be welded and put together forming Mjolnir GEN3 armor.
- Catherine Halsey: "Even though this technology will save humanity in the war to come, I must remind myself. Liquid crystal cannot rise on its own. Titanium alloy cannot prevail in the face of extinction."
The numbers 117 are welded onto the armor.
- Catherine Halsey: "Armor cannot hope."
Helmet boot up starts quickly. Note: Any "xxxxx.xxxxx.xxxxx.xxxxx.xxxxx" was a cycle of codes.

Production notes[edit]
The trailer was directed by Patrick Clair and Raoul Marks.[2][3] The creative team behind the trailer sought out the duo's animation studio Antibody,[4] which they believed had been creating evocative scenes that "convey a rich world without feeling too dense or complicated for outsiders to enjoy", citing their work on the main titles for Westworld and The Crown. Clair was cited as the one who thought up of the sound chamber, the magnification room, and where the metal is shaved.[3] The trailer was initially slated for release in late 2020, but with COVID-19 pandemic causing limitations in film production, Step Inside was made into a priority.[3]
