City Park Stone Amphitheater

A great spot for a picnic right in town and one of Mountain View’s little known secrets is the Stone Amphitheater in the City Park. It was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), and dedicated to the Arkansas Farmer’s Union Green Thumb.  Adjacent to the 1/2 mile paved walking track located on West Webb Street and just a short stroll down the creek side on the east of the parking area, you will find this tranquil location, perfect for weddings, concerts, or just relaxing and meditating. Wooded walking trails lead from from the Stone Amphitheater to other areas of the City Park or along the creek to the Ozark Folk Center. It is a true work of art.
