Yellowstone: Cole Hauser stars as ranch hand Rip Wheeler
Yellowstone season four will see Rip Wheeler (played by Cole Hauser) return to the Western once again. He has starred in all of the episodes of the show so far as the imposing character. However, fans might not realise the star actually does a lot of his own stunts on set.
Does Rip Wheeler star Cole Hauser do his own stunts?
Rip Wheeler is known for his brutal personality on Yellowstone when it comes to protecting the ranch and those he loves.
He has been part of a fair few fights, including a brawl with the Bikers back in season three.
As well as this, one of his most dramatic scenes was when he enacted revenge on Beth Dutton’s (Kelly Reilly) attackers.
Fans will remember how at the end of season two he rescued her from the Beck Brothers.

Given how many fights he has been in during the show, some fans might be curious to know how many stunts actor Cole Hauser does himself.
In past interviews, the star has opened up about this and his experiences on set.
Speaking with The Havok Journal back in July 2020, he explained how as the seasons have gone on he’s started doing more.
In season four he attended cowboy camp before filming began, which meant he was able to do more horseback riding.
This is a camp where he and his fellow actors work at getting in shape ahead of time to master their scenes.
He explained to the publication: “This year I took some time and wanted to become really good at riding.
“I came out a month early to Park City, and rode, roped, cut, and a bunch of stuff every day so I was prepared.
“You know you stop thinking about riding sometimes when you really get into it.

“You can do a lot on a horse without even thinking about it.
“That’s where I wanted to get to. It was really right for me to do.
“This year I have been able to do a lot more on horseback that last year they wouldn’t have allowed me to do. It is all me.
“Only once last year did Cooper, my stunt double, get on a horse.”
In a recent video from the Paramount Network’s YouTube channel, fans were also given a glimpse at how the stunts work on the show.
Stunt coordinator Jason Rodriguez said: “When I get a script from Taylor [Sheridan, writer and creator], sometimes he’s written stuff where the first read I go through it and my head is in my hands wondering how we’re going to accomplish this.
“Then my job is to figure out how to accomplish that.”
Yellowstone season 4 will be released in June 2021.
