Ken Whisenhunt is returning to the San Diego Chargers as offensive coordinator, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported.
Whisenhunt, who was fired as the Tennessee Titans' head coach after seven games this season, was the Chargers' offensive coordinator in 2013.
He was hired by the Titans before the next season, signing a five-year deal to the head coach in 2014. But he was fired this season after the Titans started 1-6. He had a 3-20 overall record as the Titans' coach.
Whisenhunt replaces Frank Reich, who was fired as the Chargers' offensive coordinator last week.
