A man has died after getting into difficulty in the water off the coast of Wales. Emergency services were called to Ogmore-by-Sea, between Swansea and Cardiff, yesterday.
South Wales Police say they were called to the Vale of Glamorgan beach at 10.30am on Sunday morning, December 22. The police force confirmed that the man had died as a result of the incident, reports WalesOnline.
The force added that the coroner and next of kin have been informed. The coastguard further confirmed they were called to the scene, alongside a coastguard helicopter, rescue teams, RNLI lifeboats, police and ambulance services.
An air ambulance was also sent to the incident. No further details have been released at this stage.
