Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some artists can have several thousand ratings)
This artist is rated in the top 1% of all artists on BestEverAlbums.com. This artist has a Bayesian average rating of 86.4/100, a mean average of 86.0/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 86.8/100. The standard deviation for this artist is 13.2.

One of my favorite bands of all time with a ton of bangers. Obviously their sound isn't for everyone but the fact that they are still highly underrated is crazy.
If you're good enough to have had Radiohead get their name from one of your songs, then that says something about how strong and innovate Talking Heads and David Byrne's work was during their prime

An iconic band that was very unique and innovative. Great frontman with an awesome voice and amazing musicians backing him. They started fully formed and consistently surprised with their interpretations of different genres. Check out their concert movie Stop Making Sense.
Wonderful Band. Still underrated for some reason.
So basically every song is a sick ass banger with eccentric vocals from David Byrne.
This is one of my favourite bands of All Time. Great vibes, upbeat melodies and top-notch production by Brian Eno. However, it's a shame that they didn't manage to maintain their quality streak after releasing 5 classics in a row. The last 3 studio albums released after "Speaking in Tongues" don't match the epicness of their predecessors, which is the only thing that prevents me from giving this band a perfect score.
David Byrne is a God.
Sensational debut. Very good second album. Some acceptable stuff from then on but nothing of grate value.
Creative!
