Yanik Coen is a Canadian-born DJ, producer & label owner based in Miami. Raised in Montreal with purely Mediterranean roots, his influences growing up range from disco, soul, Hip Hop to Latin and Oriental music. The mixture of cultures added to his hunger to learn from the very best are what molded his style. Through the years, he has developed a very unique sound: Sexy, balearic, and percussion driven, his energy can be recognized as soon as he hits the decks. The journey began in 2005 in his hometown where he quickly made his presence felt as a special talent, performing alongside the biggest names in dance music. Acknowledgement early in his career from legend Erick Morillo gave Yanik immediate exposure for his Remixes of the Jose Nunez classic 'Bilingual'.
