Caleb Calloway is a man between worlds. Long before masterminding reggaetón smashes such as Bad Bunny’s “Te Mudaste” and Young Miko’s “Classy 101,” the renowned Puerto Rican producer cut his teeth as an electronic music DJ, performing at nightclubs in New York, Ibiza, and his Caribbean home throughout the 2010s. A love of hip-hop and house that blossomed in his adolescence endures to this day, even as he has broadened his sonic palette to encompass trap and reggaetón. That genre-rebellious attitude extends to his forthcoming EP, Hayabusa, envisioned as the soundtrack to late-night rides through Tokyo’s neon-lit streets.
