That's all from us, but before we go here's a reminder of tonight's six results.

The morning live-text team will have reaction up on the BBC Sport website and app from 07:00 GMT tomorrow morning.

And make sure you return tomorrow night for two more Premier League matches as Fulham host Brighton and Bournemouth take on Tottenham.

    We'll see you around.

  2. 'Salah is unbelievable'published at 23:01 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December

    FT: Newcastle 3-3 Liverpool

    Micah Richards
Former England defender on Match of the Day

We keep talking about Mohamed Salah. He is just unbelievable.

He does the basics really well and he is consistent.

    Mo Salah is immense.

  3. 'Newcastle went toe to toe with Liverpool'published at 23:01 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December

    FT: Newcastle 3-3 Liverpool

    Martin Keown
Former Arsenal and England defender on Match of the Day

Liverpool have been running away with things so far this season but Newcastle went toe to toe with them. The workrate was exceptional and they really set about getting bodies forward at every opportunity.

Liverpool were on the back foot, certainly for large periods of the first half. They did not let them settle or dictate the play.

  4. 'We need to create a fortress at home'published at 23:00 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December

    FT: Aston Villa 3-1 Brentford

    Aston Villa

Aston Villa forward Ollie Watkins, speaking to Amazon Prime: “We started the game brightly and came out on the front foot. We got the early goal and that settled the crowd’s nerves. A few recent results haven’t gone our way, but we have full faith that we can turn it around.

“We just need to focus on the next game [against Southampton]. We need to create some momentum and try and create a bit of a fortress here at home. This is something to build on.

“We’ve been here a while now. We’ve been in worse situations at the club than this. We’re like warriors and we’re here to fight to the end. It was important we got a win here tonight and now we move on.”

  5. 'Arsenal are going to challenge Liverpool'published at 22:59 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December

Liverpool are favourites now for the Premier League title after their start to the season.

It's not all going to be perfection for them though. They will have to answer some questions, like they did at Newcastle tonight.

Arsenal are the closest to them and they are the ones that are going to challenge them. I don't see Manchester City coming back from where they are, even though they are back to winning ways. They've left themselves with a lot to do.

It's going to be tough for Arsenal though, because they will have to be close to perfect.

  6. 'We deserved to win the game'published at 22:58 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December

    FT: Arsenal 2-0 Manchester United

    Arsenal

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta, speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live: "Very happy, it was a special night in this incredible stadium.

"I think we deserved to win the game. We changed the team due to a few injuries, but what an energy in the stadium.

"We got into the second half and we changed a few things - the team was superb.

"The team needs every possible result to win the game - let's continue that."

On Liverpool dropping points: "I didn't know as I was so happy celebrating in the dressing room.

"We got that news, but it is difficult to win this league. It is still very early."

2-0 flatters us (Man Utd). Have been awful in the final third. Positives are we've only been outdone by set pieces

  8. 'It'll give Arsenal staff great satisfaction'published at 22:57 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December

    FT: Arsenal 2-0 Manchester United

    Alan Shearer
Former England striker on Amazon Prime

Arsenal started the season really well, but they had a sticky spell when Martin Odegaard was injured. But their form in recent weeks has been really good, coinciding with him coming back.

Even when they don't play really well, they win. There are so many things that has to go right to score from a set-piece. They need to get a good ball in there. There needs to be the movement, the hunger and the contact.

Ultimately, when you don't play that well, it is the little percentages of the set-pieces that matter. That is why you work so hard in training and when it works out like tonight, it will give all the staff great satisfaction.

  9. 'Villa were unstoppable'published at 22:56 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December

    FT: Aston Villa 3-1 Brentford

    Brentford

Brentford manager Thomas Frank, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: “It could have been game on in the second half. We played a better second half than first half. The way we responded was good and we maybe could have had another goal.

“I think Villa were clearly the better side and they deserved to win. They hit a high level and we didn’t hit a high level. Sometimes you need that quality action from your key players – we didn’t have that today.

“Their penalty isn’t a penalty, in my opinion. I think Ollie [Watkins] kicks back and hits Ethan [Pinnock], but we didn’t lose because of that.

“I know how good the players are and how good we can play at times. When you know there’s more in the team and we don’t perform, it’s always irritating and frustrating. But Villa were unstoppable.

“I’m pretty sure at the end of the season we’ll have won a few games away from home, so I’m not too concerned.”

  10. 'Don't know why Slot had to do that'published at 22:55 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December

    FT: Newcastle 3-3 Liverpool

    Robbie Fowler
Former Liverpool striker on Amazon Prime

I don't know the reason why Arne Slot had to [go talk to the referee at half-time]. I don't think there was anything untoward or controversial in that first half. Newcastle were value for that performance in the first half.

I'm sorry, but how are we not talking more about how the ref blew when Newcastle were three on one?? Guaranteed we would have played on had that been at the other end!!

  14. 'Man City are going to have a say in the title race'published at 22:53 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December

FT: Man City 3-0 Nottingham Forest

    Stuart Pearce
Former Nottingham Forest and Manchester City manager on Amazon Prime

I think we know Man City are not out of the title race, they are going to have a say.

There are going to be a lot of twists and turns in the title race. That's what makes the Premier League so good.

  15. 'For us to grow as a team we had to make this step'published at 22:53 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December

FT: Manchester City 3-0 Nottingham Forest

    Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo told Amazon Prime: "A lot of lessons. When we lose there are things to learn. We faced a very good team. Today showed they're one of the best teams.

"We should have done better in terms of the chances we had which can change the mood and momentum of the game.

"Overall the team fought and competed. But when they have one v ones it's difficult to stop.

"Everyone knows, there's no surprise that City are so good and the quality they have. We knew it would be tough but I cannot say it was a bad performance.

"We challenged ourselves. There are two ways to play here. We tried to go for the game. For us to grow as a team we had to make this step. There were good things and not so good things."

  16. 'Guardiola needs a great deal of credit'published at 22:52 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December

FT: Man City 3-0 Nottingham Forest

    Stuart Pearce
Former Nottingham Forest and Manchester City manager on Amazon Prime

The bottom line tonight is that Man City needed a win to stop this non-winning run that they had been on.

What you have to say is that there have been other performances where they have probably deserved wins and not got them, they haven't taken their chances.

Pep Guardiola needs a great deal of credit for that performance.

  17. 'A big punch in our stomach'published at 22:52 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December

FT: Manchester City 3-0 Nottingham Forest

    Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo told BBC Sport: "A lot of things didn't work out when you lose. At the same time you can't be unfair and say we didn't play good. We tried, we pressed, we were not clinical in the chances we had."

On if Chris Wood's miss felt key: "Yes and it was pivotal. Chris is a good striker of the ball. Inches from the post, it can change the momentum of the game.

"After that it was a big punch in our stomach and a mountain to climb.

"We had chances. It wasn't to be. Let's go for the next one.

"There's positives when you try to challenge yourself and compete against one of the best teams.

"I didn't have doubts of the quality of the players and manager. They started well. We were ready for that. We had moments. There's not much time because in two days' time we're playing again."

  18. 'Grealish occupies the centre half so they can't double up on Doku'published at 22:51 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December

FT: Man City 3-0 Nottingham Forest

To get the best out of Jeremy Doku you need to isolate him against the full back. Having someone like Jack Grealish in the centre of the pitch means that the centre half is occupied and he can't get out to double up on Doku. And that creates the one v one situation for Doku to exploit.

  19. 'De Bruyne at the top of almost everyone's list'published at 22:51 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December

FT: Man City 3-0 Nottingham Forest

    Stuart Pearce
Former Nottingham Forest and Manchester City manager on Amazon Prime

Kevin de Bruyne has been integral to Man City's success over a number of years. He is the go to player that sets Erling Haaland alight with his passing, he creates goals, he scores goals.

If you were to pick one player out over the last eight or nine years De Bruyne would be at the top of almost everyone's list.

  20. 'Just one game but important to break this run'published at 22:50 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December

FT: Manchester City 3-0 Nottingham Forest

    Manchester City

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola told Amazon Prime: "Definitely we needed that after many games without winning."

What was the key thing? "We won."

"Kevin de Bruyne was excellent, especially in the first half. When he's fit he's so important for us. For many years since arriving from Germany.

"[Jack Grealish was] really good. He helped us with extra passes. When he should accelerate, he accelerated. Really good, he fought."

On Nathan Ake's injury: "I don't know. We'll see tomorrow. He's a really important player. We've struggled this season with that [injuries]."

On if this is the turning point: "I don't know. We have to prove it again. It's just one game but it was important to break this run."
