"At its core, Mario Party 10 is just another Mario Party game, but it is also the best one. Smash Brothers and Mario Kart are superior “gamers’ games”, but for partying with friends or family members who only play casually, you can’t get much better than this." ... Read full review

"Mario Party 10 is a packed game. With three main game modes, tons of mini-games, and Amiibo support there’s lots to do. Unfortunately Nintendo chose to continue to dumb the game down to an uninteresting board-fest broken up by only a couple of mini-games." ... Read full review

"When playing a good skill-based minigame it can be a blast, but these moments are far too fleeting. It's a fun game to stick on when you've got company round from time to time, but don't overdo it or it won't be long before people stop accepting your party invites. " ... Read full review

Very underrated. One of the best multiplayer games of all time and my favorite in the series.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I actually like this game.
The Mario Party mode still has the cars again, but the boards and minigames are very fun.
The Bowser Party mode is unbalanced towards both sides (Team Mario gets a lot of lives and moves while Team Bowser is overpowered in the minigames), but it's still a lot of fun imo.
The Amiibo Party mode might just have squares for boards, which sounds disappointing, but I like the spaces, the gameplay of playing a minigame every round, and the special features of specific boards.
I like this game a lot. While I don't love it as much as Mario Party 5-7, I still have fun.

My personally view of Mario Party 10 is mixed, but it's generally positive. One of the best editions, in my opinion, is Bowser Party. It's funMy personally view of Mario Party 10 is mixed, but it's generally positive. One of the best editions, in my opinion, is Bowser Party. It's fun playing as the big bad himself. In this mode, you play as Bowser, chasing Mario and his friends through a Map. Once you catch up to them, you're all force to play a Bowser minigame. This minigames focused on getting rid of all the hearts from all of the players. Once that player run out of hearts, he or she is out of the game, unless the remaining players managed to restore their hearts. I also like the addition of Rosalina & Spike to the mix. Rosalina is my favorite character, and Spike is a interesting choice. Finally, the minigames are pretty fun, too.

But this game does have some flaws. One of my bigger problems in the return of the vehicle gameplay from Mario Party 9. It wasn't well received in that game, and it doesn't do well in this game. It takes away a lot of the fun stuff the old format had. Another thing is the lack of content. There aren't many modes, boards, and I which there were more things to unlock. The minigames, though fun, also had some things lacking. I'm specifically talking about 2-vs-2 and 1-vs-2/3 minigames. I way kinda disappointed that there were only 10 minigames in both of those category.

This game does support amiibos. Taping an amiibo from the Mario series will unlock amiibo mode, where a board based on the character you placed can be played on. Those amiibos are: Mario, Luigi, Peach, Toad, Yoshi, Wario, Rosalina, Donkey Kong, & Bowser. Any other amiibos allows you to play scratch cards to win Mario Party Points, which are used to unlock stuff.
The amiibo mode used the old gameplay from Mario Party 1-8. Where you collect coins and try to get as many stars as possible. While I like that they did return the old gameplay, I don't understand while it's only in amiibo mode. Also, the boards are particularly the same, just with different stuff add on it.

Overall, Mario Party 10 is mostly fun when you're playing with friends. Bowser Party is a blast, and the minigames are fun, but the lack of content can turn you off. A game for family fun, or if you're a fan of the Mario Party series.

A very enjoyable game to have for family and friends, can get really fun. This game would be good by itself, but sadly this is the 10thA very enjoyable game to have for family and friends, can get really fun. This game would be good by itself, but sadly this is the 10th installment of a franchise coming since N64. Comparing it with their predecesors, we find a very empty Mario Party game, having half the minigames the others, half the boards, and half the fun mechanics. the fact that you don't get a mini-game on each player's iteration and having a finishing square rather than being a circle board makes it to have less minigames per play thus, less player's interactions between them.

I hope that if Nintendo releases a Mario Party 11, they try and make it like Mario Party 1, 2 or 8, which had a lot of fun mechanics, a variety of minigames, boards spendable items and such. An online mode would be pretty appreciated next time too (without removing the 5 players on same WiiU modes)

No, not letting it pass, this game is mediocre and boring, The game is a snore fest from start to end, the only 2 good things I can say about MP10 is the Bowser Mode and the 4-Player Minigames, and some of the boss minigames, that's it nothing else. Overall, Mario Party 10 is a disappointing game that we want to leave in the past for good. Expand
